APPLE CRISP SOURDOUGH DISCARD SCONES - Local apples that I turn into a jammy delicious compote experience? Check. Cold-pressed apple cider? Check. Local and free range eggs, grassfed butter, and grassfed milk? Also check. Oh, and did I mention BROWN butter? Vanilla? Spices? Cinnamon chips? Oat streusel?!?!? Flaky sawlt as would say? Listen, Iβm over the top, and it works.
This is everyoneβs faveβ¦well. That is, until blueberry season. And then, that isβ¦until PEACH SEASON.
And if Iβm gonna get real with you, these scones were inspired by Annie. Apple crisp is her fave, and sheβs my fave.

I adapt my recipe from The Perfect Loaf cookbook. Every time I want a new flavor, I tweak this recipe and come up with something new. Great bones, with new construction.
