Okay everyone, as promised; a delicious summer treat. Puerto Rican Guava cake!!
For the first time ever, this set of pics come with one of our recipes.....😉.
So without further Adu, PUERTO RICAN GUAVA CAKE:
2 Cups gluten free flour (we used King Arthur measure for measure)
1 Cup sugar
2 eggs
1 T baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 stick dairy free butter of choice , plus 2 Xtra T
1T rose water ( can use orange blossom if you want, we just find rose to be more tasty)
1t vanilla
11/4 Cups milk of choice ( for the cakes in the
picture, we used oat milk)
You may or may not use all the milk, it will depend on the type of flour you use. For today's batch, we used 3/4 of a cup.
1 package of quava paste
Powdered sugar for covering the top
First ceam your 'butter' and sugar together , then add in your eggs.
Once mixed add your rose water and vanilla and mix in then set aside.
In another bowl add all dry ingredients besides Powdered sugar.
Once dry ingredients are mixed, combine wet and dry together then pour half into a greased 9x13 pan.
Slice your quava paste into approximately 16 pieces and layer them onto your poured batter,
once done cover with remaining batter.
Bake at 350' for 25-30 minutes
There you go folks, our first ever shared recipe.
Hope you like it and we look forward to seeing some of your pics !
