Here is a good video about a hive inspection. Watch around minute 6:00. All is going well but oooops, one bump and everything goes sideways! Gram remains calm and walks away, lets the girls calm down and returns. Well done!

Here is another interesting video. This shows you that all can be going well and then with a slight bump everything goes sideways! Watch at minute 6:00. Gram did the right thing. Remained calm, walked away and let the bees settle. Well done!

Larry Huggins and I tabled at the Marathon Agriculture Fair put on by the Marathon FFA Club. It is a wonderful event that allows students to experience various aspects of farming. There were several animal exhibits along with farm equipment. Larry and I talked about the importances of bees for pollination and displayed bee products, bees wax and honey. I went through a pint of honey along with a bag of pretzel sticks for sampling. We saw several hundred students throughout the day!
