Another potential state record caught by a friend of mine just goofing off and casting a sparkle beetle while we hung out at the island and my kids played. I’ll have to make a post about all the state records that have been caught on the Rambo already.

Mississippi Red Snapper additional season. Labor Day weekend, September 4,5,6,&7. I will be running 6 hour red snapper trips that weekend. Speckled trout has been our most consistent bite the last few weeks. The wind and waves have still been something to contend with. Bluefish, sharks, ladyfish, birds, and dolphins have been another obstacle certain days. Smaller trout have been mixed in to sometimes more than normal.
Every day is different but the bite has been consistent. Hopefully the trout bite continues for a while. Some days the numbers have been lower that we’ve kept and some days we’ve lucked out and had 60 keepers. Everyday has thrown us some type of challenge lately but it’s all part of the game.

Had a day off today to recuperate. Here’s a quick look at the last stretch of snapper trips I ran. A big thank you to everyone that booked with me. Limits every trip this season.
