I was enjoying my usual Monday evening with my son and anticipating a pretty low-key week when I got a Facebook notification that changed everything.
Minutes later, I had taken on an order of 200 lemon and strawberry cookies to be packaged a half dozen per box and delivered by Thursday evening so my customer could bring them to the entire courthouse staff on Friday morning!! 🤯🤯
Keep in mind, I'm a one woman show baking from home, and I also have a regular full-time job. Am I certifiably insane to take this on with such a quick turnaround time? I might be. I might just thrive in chaos and like to challenge myself. It's probably all three, honestly. 🤷♀️🤣
With a little magic, a little help from my daughter, and a lot of hard work I got it done.
When I delivered the order I gave my customer her own little box of cookies. This morning I woke up to a voice note from her saying how grateful she was for me stepping in to make this happen for her. She also said my cookies were @$% Magic, and I'm an inspiration!
I can't think of a better way to start my day. 🥰
This is all proof that the most unexpected things can turn out to be absolutely amazing. All the chaos and effort was more than worth it!
