"Brides get flowers and cake, divorcees should too!" Martha of Hanami Cake Design surprised me Wednesday afternoon with a delicious cake (apple spice with cookie butter filling/frosting) and pretty flowers from Stem & Vine. Thanks, Martha, for sweetening an otherwise sad day.

It's sunset at Cakes for All Seasons.... The last seven years have been terrific here at the Pepperell Mill in Biddeford. I've tried all sorts of fun projects learned plenty and made it through Covid. The best part has been meeting my lovely neighbors, all of whom reached out to help when I broke my leg last winter. 2025 has been rough personally, though, and I'm ready to move on. My last wedding is October 4th and I've decided to stop taking orders until then so I can focus on packing up and getting ready for a big move to Indianapolis to be near my daughter. Orders on the books will be filled, of course. I'll have all sorts of baking supplies and equipment for sale in the coming weeks and invite any bakers/cooks to reach out to find out what's available and/or come by to visit and take a look.

Sad to report that this baker is out of commission for the time being. I took an awful fall while mopping Saturday night and am recovering from surgery to my femur. Many thanks to Martha of for coming to the rescue!

In June, friends Audrey, Jenni, and Catie of Destination Maine Weddings connected me with Penny at to make biscuits for shortbread. Thousands of biscuits and cookies later, I’m working on Thanksgiving pies and some Christmas treats to wind up the year. Ever grateful to all who referred me and to Penny and her crew for welcoming me.

📣 We’re still open seven days a week until our Thanksgiving Break, beginning 11/28.
We’ll re-open on Friday 12/6 for our December Hours of 10-5 Friday/ Saturday.

Come in for everything but the turkey! Fresh, local, Brussels sprouts, sweet potato, cranberries, apples, greens, carrots, alliums, potatoes, parsnips, and don’t forget to pre-order your pie by end of day Monday 11/18!
