We moved from a small gluten free bakery in Kennebunkport in order to substantially increase production and growth. pies have been tested by Katahdin Analytical as gluten free. Managing partner and founder Jill Miller has 12
years baking experience, previously owning The Runcible Spoon Bakery in Nyack, New York and Port Bakery in Kennebunk, Maine. Both were full service bakeries, the Runcible Spoon producing for retail and wholesale accounts in the tri-state area. Since celiac disease was present in her husband's and family's life, it was a natural progression for Jill to adapt her fabulous pie crust recipe to a gluten free crust that is moist, flaky and buttery. The fillings are fresh and of the finest quality with no additives or preservatives. All pies, with the exception of pecan, are assembled and frozen unbaked. They are shrink wrapped and boxed for display in the freezer section. The consumers then can bake off the pie following the directions on the package and then are treated a wonderful warm and fresh-baked pie. Our pies appeal to those who are gluten sensitive and for those who just love pie.
