šŸŒŠ Alstenā€™s ocean cake. I got to play so much with this one. The sugar bubbles on the front and as a (delicate!!!!) topper may be my favorite part. (New to me method using glucose syrup!) Or maybe the layered fondant and wafer paper waves? Or Mr. Starfish lounging over it all?

Even when your celebration has a theme, your cake doesnā€™t have to. It just has to ā€œgo.ā€ We kept with Margaritaā€™s bridal shower theme of ā€œMargaritas and Matrimonyā€ through the color palette of pinks and lime greens. (And, yes, Iā€™m fully on board with this current trend of using a cake icer tip to do fun, bold ribbons of frosting!) Huge thank you as always to for sourcing the šŸŒø and extra shout out to for helping me pick the perfect mix of color and texture.

Baby showers! Ahhhh! Iā€™m a woman of a certain age so my peers and I arenā€™t having babies anymore. So I havenā€™t gotten to go to a shower in years. And weā€™re a little too young for grandchildren. Like way, way, way too young. Ahem. But I love that I still get to be involved peripherally in plenty!
