“I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream “🎤🎼🎶

Well in my version of the song, we smash permanent piggy banks. If you have seen Eddie Murphy’s stand up routine about ice cream, I’m certain that is how I sounded😂😂. I don’t know how my mom didn’t hear me, but nothing and no one was getting between me and my ice cream, not even a permanent piggy bank. Who came up with that idea anyway?

I was feeling nostalgic as I came across this picture of Jordan (one of my favorites). He was making a Boston Cream Pie for Chris for Father’s Day at the shop.

Jordan is finally “launched “ and when I look at him I swear it was only a few years ago that Chris and I were taking him to the bus for his first day of school. The little boy with the huge smile and even bigger backpack was excited for school. Thankfully, I was not the wreck that I was on his first day of daycare at the wonderful Upper Mainline YMCA😊. I came home telling Chris that I could not drop him off every day because I was an emotional disaster 😂. Jordan was crying, I was crying after I made what felt like a mile walk to my car and the flood gates opened. I believe Kendra, one of the lovely caretakers, called me soon after I dropped him off, to let me know that as soon as I left Jordan was all smiles and found some new friends. I am forever grateful for that phone call.

I feel fortunate and blessed to have had so many wonderful Pastry Chefs work by my side through the years, and this not so little (now 6’ 7”) Pastry Chef is by far my favorite 🥰.

I know that summer is NOT over, so perhaps in advance, I wish all of your children, big and small, a wonderful start to the school year, whenever they start.

Hi Fran! It was so nice to talk with you today….:it made my day. If you see this don’t forget to go to the first Pinned Post and write your top 3 Sweet Jazmines Post. You never know when I will meet someone nearby with desserts. I’ll be the one in the parking lot with the bag that says “Cookie Dealer”.

I am hoping to upgrade my bag with a new one from That’s Sew Cool Embroidery that says “Random Acts of Sweetness”

I am delayed in making this post. A dear friend of mine, Shamar, has an online store on Esty where she has some t-shirts with sayings and some of her beautiful photos printed on various items.

I have known Shamar since Culinary Institute of America , so we go way back, so far back that I have lost count😊😂. I seem to crack her up with some of my stories or sayings so she decided to put some on a t-shirt: My two favorite t-shirt sayings are “Go Cry In The Walk-In” and “Ain’t Nothing So Bad, That it Can’t Be Worse”

That last saying is one that my dad and Uncle Ikey have told me through years. These were all saying from my Pop Pop, my dad’s father. I never met him, and I feel like I know him from all of the stories. And I know I would have loved him and would have called him Pop Pop🥰.

My Uncle Ikey is an amazing storyteller at 94, so I hope to keep the sayings/quotes coming.

I am certain we all have a different definition “a perfect day”, for me today it was breakfast Em J’s Cafe and shoppping Berwyn Farmers Market with Jordan. I finally had a chance to try Rochelle Stivers. I met the owner’s dad and we joked that I would tell my dad that I was going to triple his pay. 😂😂

And of course Handel's Ice Cream Berwyn vanilla ice to make my Double Chocolate Walnut brownie Sundae for dessert after dinner from Johnny’s Pizza in Wayne.
