I had a fun Saturday morning making eclairs to take to a friends house and I shared some with another friend. What’s a few extra dozen, when I was already making a few dozen?

Now when I am baking it reminds me of why I feel in love with baking in the first place. No pressure of deadline, just joy of baking and sharing. You never know when I might do a Dessert Dash😉.

I had to screen record this video because it is too important not to share as a reel . Her message is spot on and truly how I try, not always succeed, to look at things.

Growing up my parent always said to choose my battles, and some of these or most of these encounters aren’t worth spending the energy on. Something hit me after turning fifty. I truly wish I had this perspective when I had my shop because I let too much affect me.

My dad is known for saying , “Don’t sweat the small stuff, and by the way most of it is small stuff.”😊

I am playing with my food again or at least the recipes. I am trying to share recipes that are “Uncomplicated Baking”.

I want recipes that taste great, but also don’t have you wanting to pull your hair out by the time you are done.

These are biscuits that my family loves. My mom says they are the BEST she’s ever had, but I am certain she says that about everything I bake😊😂😊,l because she is slightly biased.

These are ones that you either bake the same day or freeze and bake later. I like to give options because if you are making these for holidays, it would be much easier to make and shape a few days before and bake them off the day of. The more prep work you do in advance , the more you can enjoy the holiday.

Let me see those hands in comments if you like biscuits. If you do any baking you will probably have 6 of the 8 ingredients on hand.

I decided to let G and Andrew try Vanilla and Graham Central Station. I know people challenge me on getting “just vanilla”, and for me it is also the foundation of all the other flavors. A construction company shouldn’t build a house on a weak foundation. Well that’s how I feel when trying ice cream.

I actually sold a wedding cake because of a chocolate chip cookie. The mother of the bride said,” I can only imagine how great the wedding cake will taste if the cholate chocolate chip cookie was that good!”
