📣 LET’S TALK ABOUT GLUTEN-FREE BAKING — BECAUSE NOT ALL GLUTEN-FREE BAKING IS THE SAME! 💚
At The Little GF Stand, gluten-free baking is more than just a label. It’s personal to me. As someone living with celiac disease, I understand firsthand how important it is to know what goes into your food and how it’s prepared.
Here’s what sets my gluten-free baking apart: I don’t just substitute gluten-free flour for regular flour and call it a day. My baking is dedicated to being gluten-free, with a strict focus on avoiding wheat, rye, barley, and gluten cross-contact.
Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease, NOT simply a gluten intolerance or an allergy. Even tiny amounts of gluten can trigger an immune response and cause intestinal damage, even when symptoms aren’t immediately noticeable.
Some bakers offer gluten-free options while also working with regular wheat flour and other gluten-containing ingredients in the same kitchen. That is a different setup from a dedicated gluten-free baking operation, and it’s an important distinction for people with celiac disease.
When you have celiac disease, ingredients, preparation, equipment, surfaces, and cross-contact all matter. Simply using gluten-free ingredients does not automatically make a finished product safe for someone with celiac disease.
Because I live this every day, I understand how much trust goes into buying food that someone else has prepared. I take that responsibility seriously and want my customers to understand exactly what makes my approach different.
💚 The Little GF Stand isn’t just about making gluten-free goodies. It’s about understanding why gluten-free matters.
If you or someone in your family has celiac disease, I want you to feel informed, heard, and confident asking questions about how your food is made.
Please share this post to help spread awareness! The more people understand the difference, the better. 🌻
Thank you for supporting my small business and being part of this journey with me!
