Not wanting to waste those hand painted dala horses, I made 2 more cakes for M’s birthday party. One was the lemon blueberry cake but w/ cream cheese frosting this time (sooo much more yum) and the new cake is orange blossom matcha cake w/ matcha ganache, homemade strawberry jam, and fresh strawberries. Love how the matcha cake’s natural color pops 😍🍋🍓🍊🍵🍰 @ Berkeley, California

I tried to make a layer cake! Since layer cakes are pretty uncommon in French pastry, this was a very strange experience for me, not knowing what I’m doing AT ALL! Turned out better than I thought, but lots of room for improvement! I will keep practicing 💪💪💪.
