Today, with both gratitude and a touch of bittersweet emotion, I celebrate the 12th anniversary of Cakes by Robbin—and announce my retirement.
What began as a small, part-time passion making cakes for family and friends quickly grew into a full-time journey… or better yet, an adventure.
Over the past 12 years, I’ve created more than 500 wedding cakes, along with countless celebration cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops. From cakes featured on Fixer to Fabulous to designs shaped like cars, people, and animals—some even with lights and moving parts—I’ve been continually amazed at how challenging and rewarding this craft can be.
Through it all, my business weathered the pandemic, supply chain issues, inflation, and even nine months of baking out of my pantry during a kitchen remodel.
I’ve been honored to have my work featured in publications like Arkansas Bride, Style Me Pretty, Weddings in Arkansas, and NWA Weddings. Along the way, I’ve met incredible people, collaborated on beautiful styled shoots, showcased cakes in stunning venues, and been inspired by the creativity of so many talented vendors.
While 2024 marked my final year in the wedding industry, I’ve continued baking for my loyal clients—some of whom have been with me since the very beginning. As I step into this next chapter, my website will be coming down so I can spend more time enjoying life beyond the kitchen.
To my wonderful clients, vendor friends, and especially my husband—my driver, tech support, master cake form builder, and biggest cheerleader—thank you. Truly.
These past 12 years have been unforgettable. And now, this Cake Lady is ready for what comes next.
