Can we talk about chicken pictures for a minute? 😂
People: “Do you have pictures of the chickens?”
Me: posts pictures of the chickens.
People: “Do you have pictures of the parents?”
Me: posts pictures of the parents.
People: “Do you have individual pictures?”
Me: 😐
Listen, these are chickens, not paid models with agents and a makeup crew.
Some folks act like I should be able to walk outside and say, “Excuse me, Mr. Liege Fighter, would you mind stepping over here into better lighting, turning 45 degrees, fluffing your feathers, and giving us your good side?”
Meanwhile, the rooster is trying to fight a wheelbarrow, three hens are digging a hole to China, and another one is running away with a frog in her mouth.
And let’s not forget the classic request:
“Can you get a better picture?”
Sure. Let me just spend the next two hours chasing a chicken around the pasture while holding a phone, a feed bucket, and what’s left of my dignity. 🤣
The breed is listed. The parents are posted. Google is free. The chickens, however, have made it very clear they are not interested in participating in a professional photo shoot.
If you want perfect pictures, you’re shopping for chickens from the wrong farm. Around here, the birds are too busy being chickens. 🐔
