At a little bakery in Belton, Texas, on a road between a beautiful lake and Main Street, USA two different people begin a new chapter in their lives. Sixteen years ago (almost to this day) I started work on my little corner suite #112 at 511 Lake Rd.
I fell in love with the amazing windows with fantastic views of life whizzing by. It took a lot of hard work and high quality paint to lighten up the walls, a double stack of commercial convection ovens and a couple other Czech ladies to come in and help me start making that amazing sweet yeast dough. The very first time I turned my ovens on and baked was Christmas Day, 2010. Our first day open was January 5, 2011.
It’s been a crazy journey that I wouldn’t trade for anything else! But, it’s time for me to turn over the keys and social media account to someone younger and even more ambitious than I was! The pictures here are only a few of my family’s favorite moments, there’s info in the captions as best I can write with eyes full of tears of joy… thank you all for so many years of support and friendship! Just a couple weekends ago, I talked with a man in the drive thru that was here on that first day! What a privilege to have met you all!!! 🥰
