What started as a love for baking and creating custom cakes for close family members has grown into a full-time business venture for me. From wedding cakes to breads and one-of- a-kind-dessert creations, the motto here is: "You dream it, We make it!" The team at SME's Treats prepares each confection custom and fresh-to-order, and Sheila prides herself on exceeding the expectations of her customers

. SME's Treats has also partnered with Pony Expresso so they can carry a variety of single-serve baked goods. I am owner of SME’s Treats a local special-order bakery here in Belle Fourche. Originally from the area, I am happily married to my husband Derrick and together we have two boys. Baking and sharing tasty food dishes have always been an enjoyment for me. For years I made custom birthday cakes for my close family and then eventually wedding cakes and other special occasion baked goods for others. My baking success has gone so well that I was able to complete several food safety courses and open a licensed and inspected commercial kitchen in 2019. I have been fortunate to make cakes for some of Belle Fourche residents’ most special days. I always enjoy providing baked goods that not only look good but taste great as well. Today I make not just cakes, but cupcakes, cookies, and one-of-a-kind dessert creations. Being creative in the kitchen is lots of fun for me. I am delighted to be voted Best Bakery of the Northern Hills for 2020, 2021 and 2022 in The Rapid City Journal's Best of the Black Hills contest. Also, in 2021 I was voted for best desserts in the Northern Hills. My family and I love being part of the Belle Fourche community and supplying great baked goods for its businesses and residents.
