Tomorrow marks two years since my dad passed away.
My dad was my safe place. My home. My constant.
He loved deeply, laughed easily, and somehow managed to stay kind and gentle even while fighting something so unfair.
He loved all candy and sweets — even though he was diabetic — and to this day I still find 3 Musketeers and Milky Way bars tucked away in our freezer from when he’d come visit. Little pieces of him, still showing up.
My grief hasn’t gotten smaller. It’s just changed. Some days it’s quiet, other days it’s heavy, and sometimes it shows up as this need to do something with the love I still have, and always will have, for him.
So I’m making a kitchen sink cookie in his honor — filled with all the sweet things, just like he loved. I’ll be sharing them for free, but if any proceeds are made, I will be donating them to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF) to support research as they search for better treatments and a cure for the cancer my dad fought so bravely.
This isn’t about business or promotion.
It’s about remembering him, honoring him, and turning grief into something sweet and meaningful.
Share this post if you’re willing to support and take this as a reminder to hold on tight to your loved ones.
Always my dad. Always loved. 🤍
