Hi Friends! I’m not sure many are aware, cottage bakers cannot sell items that are time/temperature controlled including buttercream. This means that shortening, or Sweetex has to be used instead of butter so I stopped selling cakes because I didn’t want to use those artificial ingredients. I’m happy to say that I spent the time and money to have my buttercream recipe lab tested and I’m excited to share with you, what I was using is shelf stable! Cakes and cupcakes will be back on the menu for ordering and markets!!
