Our current Cookie Drop includes 2 traditional Romanian cookies to give you a small taste of the country that the Willig family will be traveling to on their mission trip this November. Don't worry, our famous decorated shortbread cookies are also included in the drop. Baking will begin very soon so place your pre-orders now.

This post features some information about the Cocoa Vanilla Cookies. "Step inside any pastry shop in Romania and you will see in the glass cabinet, on the top shelf, an array of cookies called fursecuri and pișcoturi, which can be bought as an assortment and paid for by weight. I love these cocoa and vanilla cookies because they are fun to make and have two flavors in one. The patterns and shapes can vary almost to a form of art. They are of German influence in our cuisine and especially popular at Christmas." according to Epicurious .com.

Our current Cookie Drop is a little different because we are including some traditional Romanian cookies alongside our decorated shortbread cookies. All proceeds will support a wonderful family on their mission trip to Romania. One of the special cookies we are including is a Romanian Rasin Cookie.

What are Romanian Raisin Cookies?

According to theromaniancookbook .com, "The Romanian raisin cookies are different from any other cookies you have ever had before. They are quite small, have a soft interior and chewy edges. The more raisins cookies have, the better they are in my opinion. They have a vanilla taste and are simply delicious."

!!!Special Cookie Drop in support of the Willig Family Mission Trip to Romania!!!
(Details on how to order at the end of the post.)

Erin moved to Bel Air when we were married. While we were looking for a church home, we landed at Fork Christian for some time because of an invite to a small group with some of our friends. We met The Willig family in our small group. The Lord launched both of our families in different directions of ministry through a church wide study called "Greater". Now they are serving a church in Kentuky and are preparing to go to Romania as a family and we want to support them with this cookie drop. This is a great way for folks here in Maryland to support them as they bring the Gospel to north western Romania. This month's Cookie Drop will feature our decorated shortbread cookies that you know and love alongside some traditional Romanian cookies. Each set of cookies will include two decorated shortbread cookies, 2 Fursecuri cu Stafide (Raisin Cookies), and 2 Fursecuri în Două Culori (Cocoa and Vanilla Cookies). The set is $15 and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Willig family for their mission trip! The cookies will be available for pick up by October 11th.

Our friends, the Willigs, are going on a mission trip to Romania as a family. Our September Cookie Drop will feature our decorated shortbread cookies that you love and expect from us along with some traditional Romanian cookies. We are excited to see how the Lord will multiply our time and talent with this Drop to help the Willigs. 100% of proceeds will go directly to them. Look for the official post tonight after 6.
