🚨 APPARENTLY WE FORGOT TO ASK THE OWNER OF FRONT PORCH SWEETS FOR PERMISSION… 😳😂🐮

Last weekend before the three day yard sale/Front Porch Sweets event. We prepared a couple of days in advance. Guys… I don’t think I’ve EVER seen our 3-year-old this personally offended by a decision I made. 😂

Last Wednesday evening we went over to Pap’s house to get ready for the Milesburg Community Yard Sale — setting up canopies, dropping off yard sale stuff, bringing over the bake stand and getting everything ready for our Front Porch Sweets pop-up.

And Ocean was having the TIME OF HER LIFE. 😂❤️

She was running around, helping us set everything up, even helping hammer stakes into the ground for the canopies. Just being her normal sweet, loving little self.

Everything was perfectly fine…

Until it was time to leave. 😳

We’re walking toward the truck, getting ready to head home, and apparently Ocean looked back and realized something VERY important:

THE BAKE STAND WASN’T COMING WITH US. 😭😂

Guys…

She. Was. NOT. Having it. 💀

Apparently Mom and Dad forgot that although we thought the bake stand belonged to Front Porch Sweets…

it actually belongs to Ocean. 😂🐮

And the funny part is, when you really think about it, I understand why she was so upset.

We’ve mentioned before that Adrienne and I have decided to educate Ocean at home rather than send her through the public school system. With her two older sisters at school during the day, she’s used to being with Mom and Dad — and because we’re two VERY busy people juggling businesses, kids, events and everyday life, we’ve made it a point to turn the things we already do into opportunities for her to learn.

That includes the bake stand. ❤️

Ocean helps us stock it in the morning. She counts the treats. She helps straighten the decorations. She gets the ice packs. She checks the chalkboard and artwork. She’s there when we make the videos. She helps carry things out. We work on manners, responsibility, following directions, counting, organization and everyday life skills without her even realizing she’s “doing school.”

That little stand has become part of HER routine too.

So when Dad casually decided we were just going to leave HER bake stand at Pap’s house overnight…

Apparently I had crossed a line. 😂😂😂

She didn’t even want to get in the truck.

SHE WASN’T EVEN LISTENING TO DAD. 😳

And if you know Ocean, THAT’S when you know we had a serious situation on our hands. 😂 This little girl has genuinely never acted like this in her three years of life.

So we negotiated. 🤝😂

I told her she could go give the bake stand a hug and a kiss goodbye before we left.

Problem solved, right?

WRONG. 💀

We get her buckled into the truck and suddenly she realizes the hug and kiss apparently DID NOT HAPPEN TO HER SATISFACTION. 😂

Now she’s insisting she needs to get back OUT of the truck because she has to go do it AGAIN.

At this point, she might as well have been kicking and screaming:

“NOBODY LEAVES MY BAKE STAND BEHIND!!!” 😭😂🐮

We eventually convinced our tiny business partner that the stand would be okay. 😂 We told her we’d call Pap in the morning, check on him since he’s recovering from surgery, AND check on the bake stand to make sure everybody survived the night. ❤️😂

And underneath all the comedy, this actually made Mom and Dad smile.

Because to us, it’s a bake stand.

To Ocean, it’s something she helps take care of every single day. It’s part of her routine, her responsibility, her time with Mom and Dad, and apparently… one of her prized possessions. 🥹❤️

We’re trying to teach this little girl that learning doesn’t only happen sitting behind a desk. Sometimes it’s counting cakesicles. Sometimes it’s helping Mom and Dad set up a canopy. Sometimes it’s learning responsibility by stocking a bake stand.

And sometimes…

it’s learning that Dad is legally allowed to leave the bake stand at Pap’s house overnight without consulting you first. 😂😂😂

Although judging by this video…

I’m not sure she learned that last lesson. 💀

🍪🐮❤️ MILESBURG… YOU GUYS SHOWED UP & SHOWED OUT! ❤️🐮🍪

Our three-day Milesburg Community Yard Sale + Front Porch Sweets pop-up has officially come to an end, and all we can say is… WOW. THANK YOU. 🥹❤️

Three days full of familiar faces, brand-new faces, laughs, conversations, sweet treats, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, and SO much support.

And honestly, some of our favorite moments weren’t even the sales. It was the people who stopped by, grabbed something, and then stayed just to hang out and talk with us. Some of you we had never met before this weekend, but by the time you left, it felt like we had known you for a lot longer. 😂❤️

THAT is what we mean when we talk about bringing a community together.

And if you’re wondering just how successful these three days were… 👀

We started this event with THREE XL COOLERS absolutely packed with treats.

We came home with LESS THAN HALF OF ONE COOLER LEFT. 🤯🔥

Guys… that is HUGE for us.

This was the most inventory we have ever prepared for something like this, and you absolutely crushed it. Seeing those coolers get emptier and emptier throughout the three days was something we won’t forget. 🥹🐮❤️

🌭 And apparently you guys were hungry for more than sweets too. 😂

Those bacon-wrapped jumbo hot dogs were an ABSOLUTE HIT! We started with THREE huge packs of jumbo hot dogs and finished the entire three-day event with only NINE HOT DOGS LEFT! 🤯🌭🥓

And we have to give a HUGE congratulations to Katie Yearick, because out of everybody who came through…

SHE was the ONLY ONE who walked up to us and said:

❤️🐮 “NOW THAT’S GOOD EATIN’!” 🐮❤️

And for her prize, she chose one of our top menu items — a BIG Front Porch Cinnamon Roll! 🍥🔥

Yes, yes… we know we originally said WE would choose the free treat. 😂 But every time somebody actually comes up and says our slogan, it makes me so damn happy that I end up letting them choose anyway. 🤣❤️ I apparently cannot follow my own rules.

But seriously, Milesburg, THANK YOU.

Thank you for every purchase.
Thank you for every conversation.
Thank you for every laugh and smile.
Thank you to everyone who told somebody about us, came back for more, or stopped just to see what Front Porch Sweets was all about.

We had SO much fun spreading a little love, sharing our treats, and getting to know more of you over these three days.

We couldn’t ask for a better community to be a part of—or a better community to bring Front Porch Sweets to. ❤️

And after seeing what happened this time…

👀 We already know the next one has to be even BIGGER and BETTER. 😂🔥

🍞 All homemade bread orders will now be available in FAMILY SIZE LOAVES ONLY.

This applies to all of our homemade bread varieties moving forward.

🍪🐮 BEECH CREEK — LAST CALL FOR SWEETS! 🐮🍪

Well guys, we’re officially done in Milesburg for now! ❤️ After a busy few days, we’re wrapping things up and heading back home!

TOMORROW — SUNDAY — the Front Porch Sweets stand in Beech Creek will be OPEN! And this is your LAST CALL to grab your sweets because after tomorrow, we’re taking a little break! 👀🍪

⏰ SUNDAY HOURS: 5:00 AM–5:30 PM
📍 155 Fairview St., Beech Creek

Yep… you read that right. 5:00 AM! 😂 Brandon & Adrienne are heading out archery hunting together tomorrow morning 🏹🦌, so we’re getting the stand stocked and OPEN extra early before we head into the woods!

And after tomorrow… WE’RE OFF! 😂🙌

This coming weekend there will be NO baking, NO custom orders, NO pop-ups and NO bake stand. Just us, our girls, and an entire free weekend to relax and enjoy some family time. ❤️

That means after we close tomorrow, the Beech Creek stand will NOT reopen this coming Friday — it’ll be the FOLLOWING Friday!

Guys, we are officially on our FINAL DAY here in Milesburg! 🙌❤️ It’s a beautiful, breezy fall day, and we know there are a TON of fall activities happening everywhere today — but if you’re out and about, driving through town, hunting for some good yard-sale deals, or just craving something SWEET… you know where to find us! 👀🍪🛍️

😅 STRESS LEVEL: DEFINITELY AT THE MAX RIGHT NOW… but somehow, we’re still getting it DONE! 😂🧁💪🏽

After a full day of Dynasty Precision Mowing, we somehow ended up about 50 minutes away from home at Hobby Lobby last nite loading up on packaging, goodie bags, baking supplies, and everything else we need for our HUGE 3-DAY Yard Sale + Front Porch Sweets Pop-Up! 🛍️🍪🎂

Between mowing lawns 🌱, mixing ingredients 🥣, landscaping, dipping cakesicles 🍰, raising THREE girls 👧🏽👧🏽👧🏾, running TWO businesses, making donations, keeping up with the kids’ sports…

AND now booking vendor events for Front Porch Sweets too. 😅🙌🏽

And guys… we’re not just talking about events right down the road either.

We already have events on the schedule that are OVER AN HOUR AWAY FROM HOME, and honestly, we’re completely okay with that. ❤️

Because that’s the goal.

We want to get Front Porch Sweets OUT THERE. We want people to see the stand, try the treats, remember the name, recognize the brand, and watch this little business continue to grow one event, one customer, and one mile at a time. 🧁🚗💨

Apparently, driving an hour or more with a vehicle full of baked goods is just part of the adventure now. 😂

Oh… AND in case all of that wasn’t enough…

WE’RE ALSO PLANNING A WEDDING. 😂💍🌊

Our original plan was actually to get married in the Dominican Republic, but due to some unexpected changes in life, those plans had to shift pretty quickly.

So now, we’re set to get married September 17 in Ocean City, Maryland, with a very small and intimate wedding by the ocean. 🤍🌊💍

Was it the original plan? Nope. 😂

But sometimes life changes the plan for you, and you just have to roll with it, make the best of it, and keep moving forward. And honestly, we’re still just as excited to finally make it official. ❤️

So somewhere between mowing routes, baking, vendor events, three kids, sports, donations, TWO businesses, everyday life AND planning a wedding…

We’re apparently supposed to sleep too. 🤣

Are we completely sure how we’re juggling all of this right now?

Absolutely not. 😂

Are there days where the stress level is THROUGH THE ROOF?

100%. 😅

But is it worth it?

ABSOLUTELY. ❤️

Because every late night, every long drive, every batch of treats, every lawn finished, every event booked, every bag packed, and every crazy day is helping us build something that belongs to our family. 🙌🏽

Tonight’s Hobby Lobby haul is officially in the books, the bags are PACKED, and now it’s time to keep preparing because THIS THURSDAY, FRIDAY & SATURDAY are going to be BIG! 🔥🛍️🧁
