Since so many people ask us in the shop, we decided to end the confusion once and for all… 🥯🍫
Babka or Krantz?
They may look similar, but they’re not the same.
Krantz (picture number 1)– originally a German cake, later adapted in Israel. Usually made with buttery dough and dairy creams, tighter layers, crisp outside, soft inside.

Babka (our😉 picture number 2) – classic Jewish yeast cake, always dairy-free, with a soft,and rich chocolate texture.
We love both — but we think it’s time knew the difference. 😉
