New toy alert!!!

We are very excited to be partnering with a wonderful local fiber artist to be able to offer hand knit toys ❤️. Created using yarn scraps from others, this artist works to reduce waste by keeping yarn out of landfills while keeping the cats entertained!

Sustainability is such a core value for us. From using biodegradable shopping bags to working with local producers to reduce what is sent to rendering facilities. To see another artist working to do the same in their field warranted a partnership opportunity.

These toys are priced to reflect the amount of time devoted to knitting each one by hand.

Recovery is going much smoother than expected!

Tentatively rolling out our September schedule as well ❤️ This is subject yo change if I have any complications following surgery this month.

I finally have a surgery date for my shoulder surgery, August 21st! (Left shoulder arthroscopy, capsular plication, multiple labral repairs, and possible biceps tenodesis)

Which means I can begin releasing formal monthy market schedules again ❤️ It also means I will be unable to take custom cake or biscuit orders from August 19th until AT THE EARLIEST November 15th. We will still be attending multiple markets a month, though our inventory is not guaranteed.

If you count on being able to get a specific treat at markets, now is the time to let me know! I will be doing my best to arrange help to ensure those products are available. I will also be bulk prepping hide rolls and tracheas so that there should hopefully be enough on hand to get us through my first month of recovery.

I am on my third read through, so it felt like it was a good time to share such a wonderful resource. Heart Dog: Surviving the Loss of Your Canine Soulmate, has been a large part of my journey with grief since losing Jude. It has helped me to build new rituals and routines to survive losing the Ying to my Yang. I've learned to hold space for my heartbreak and pain while finding ways to honor Jude's memory.

I've burned though nearly a dozen grief candles, the current one smells like buttered pancakes. Each time I light it I can imagine him with his head in my lap, giving me those big doe eyes and begging for a bite of my breakfast.

I've sponsored swims for two dogs in his memory. Sent his favorite treats and a letter about all the things that made him special with his wheels when they went to help another dog in need. I have pressed well over fifty four leaf clovers. He sends me one everytime I stop to tell him all the things that have changed.

To Beth from Czar's Promise , I can not thank you enough. You gave me an anchor in turbulent water. That validation I have received each time I read through it helps heal little pieces of my heart each time ❤️

We have stepped up to foster and do wound care ❤️ So that part of the need is met.

We are asking our amazing community to help support at Latoya's Legacy Sanctuary via rebuilding their veterinary care funds and their kitten food supplies ❤️

I am happy to offer the choice of a bag of treats or a cat toy to anyone who provides proof of a monetary donation, a donation of food, or a donation of pelleted litter. I am happy to act as a local drop off point for donations of pelleted litter, kitten food, and KMR. That way I am able to transport them up to the rescue in larger volumes, which saves everyone on fuel expenses.

While I will forever wish we had never had to experience the need for it; I am grateful that Jude helped me refresh my bandaging and wound care skills over the past year ❤️
