Today’s final delivery is dedicated to a few very special people.

I want to honor Elli & Dave Edwards and Staci Burgess—customers who quickly became friends and supporters from the very beginning.

Dave & Elli were the second customers I ever had. I truly cannot say enough about Dave and the loyal customer and friend he has become over the years. Dave is the inspiration behind our now-famous sourdough cinnamon rolls—yes, those cinnamon rolls… the ones whose icing was once nearly resold to the highest bidder on our local 24-hour auction. If you can believe that!

Dave also convinced me to sell at the Beavercreek Korner Market—and when I hesitated, he made sure it happened by literally providing me with the tables. I have endless stories of Dave bringing new faces to my door and dragging potential customers into our local convenience stores just so they could experience our treats.

I wish I could honor Dave and Elli with sourdough cinnamon rolls in today’s delivery, but my family has officially banned me from doing so. While I may still have the heart for it, I’m no longer able to dedicate the long hours of standing time required to create these products—and they’re right.

The other customer-turned-friend I want to honor today is Staci Burgess. Staci has also been with me from the very beginning and is the inspiration behind our Rosemary Asiago Sourdough loaf. A true supporter, always encouraging everyone around her to try our bread. Today’s Rosemary Asiago delivery is in her honor.

I know I’ve left out so many other amazing customers and friends who have supported us through these past couple of years—but please know you are no less important in my heart. Thank you to all of you who have been there through the ups and downs. I am so deeply grateful for the time we’ve shared.

I’m not going away—but I am stepping back, and I will never produce at this level again. I will always be an advocate for anyone willing to devote their life to creating and selling sourdough products, because I understand firsthand what they give up to make it happen. I hope you’ll continue to support our many local sourdough bakers by choosing their healthy, handcrafted products. 🤍

Behind some of our most-loved loaves is a really special story—and a really special person. I want to dedicate today’s delivery to a dear customer who I now proudly call a friend, Deanna. She has been with me from the very beginning, always encouraging me and dreaming up new and creative flavor ideas for our loaves.

Last year, Deanna was the inspiration behind our Italian Herbs & Cheese Sourdough, and it quickly became a huge hit. Because of that love, it’s a loaf we’ve continued making—and one that so many of you now enjoy regularly.

Today, we’re delivering Italian Herbs & Cheese Sourdough along with our classic Beavercreek Sourdough to Beavercreek Grocery and Tony's Fish Market.

Today’s delivery is a special one 💛

I’m delivering Beavercreek Sourdough and our Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Sourdough Cookies to both locations today, and Roasted Garlic Sourdough to Beavercreek Grocery — and I’m dedicating this delivery to my Sourdough Sisters:

Chances are, you’ve seen these three supporting me along the way — from helping at the Korner Park Market to pitching in at events and behind the scenes.

I started my sourdough journey with these girls several years ago. Some of you know my story — I originally got into sourdough because I needed a distraction from raising a rebel of a teenage daughter. (Who, by the way, has come full circle and now works with me in the kitchen all day, every day — and I couldn’t be more thankful.)

The Sourdough Sisters came together and gave me a purpose. That purpose turned into a passion.

One Christmas, the Sourdough Sisters and I tried making sourdough chocolate chip cookies together… and they were less than great 😅 And anyone who knows me knows I couldn’t leave it at that. I researched, tested, and went through so many rounds of recipes until I created what’s now known around here as the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Sourdough Cookie.

So today, in honor of my Sourdough Sisters — the ones who helped start it all — I’m delivering Beavercreek Sourdough and Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Sourdough Cookies to both locations, and Roasted Garlic Sourdough to Beavercreek Grocery.

Today’s deliveries are extra special, because they’re dedicated to a few of the people who believed in me right from the very beginning.

🧀 Luke (Lucifer Hezekyle) bought my very first Smoked Tillamook Cheddar & Jalapeño sourdough loaf. I will never forget his support and encouragement to keep making more—it truly meant everything when I was just starting out.

🥐 Ashley Keuler & Dawn Burgess have been my ride-or-die test subjects since the earliest days of my sourdough journey. They’ve tried almost everything I’ve ever made and still, to this day, push me to try something new just so they can taste it. Their all-time favorite scone? White Chocolate Cherry, without question.

✨ Delivery Update ✨

I wanted to share a quick update this evening. Unfortunately, we won’t be delivering tomorrow as I wasn’t able to make dough today to prepare for baking. Sometimes the sourdough schedule just needs a little extra grace.

I’m hopeful that with an extra day of rest, I’ll be back at it on Monday, and ready for our last week of deliveries.
