I consistently forget to update this page, but there's been SO MUCH going on the past week, I figured it was time to sit and share!
I have been baking almost constantly the last many days- Thursday I baked all of my hand pies for the Farmer's Market, Friday I put together over 60 cupcakes AND a cake and Sunday morning I put together ANOTHER cake!
Farmer's Market prep is tedious and the most stressful for me. I have to be careful not to cross contaminate(GF items and nuts) while also staying organized in my small kitchen and using my time efficiently. I make all the dough and each separate filling, cool them all, roll and cut the dough. Then I begin filling, crimping, putting the egg wash and sugar on the top, carefully watching while they all bake, cooling, labeling and bagging all the hand pies to take to the Market.
The cupcakes that I made for our family festivities Friday night were also very tedious and time consuming. I decided to use Peach Cobbler as my inspiration and put together Cinnamon Brown Sugar cakes, a fresh Ginger Peach filling, Homemade Whipped Cream and topped them with a delicious(from scratch) Bourbon Caramel Sauce. I forgot to take pictures 😭, but they were SO GOOD!
Yesterday I put together a German Chocolate cake for a joint birthday party. It was my first time making Coconut Pecan Frosting! I DID get a photo of that cake.
Stay tuned, because there's more to come this week! 💕
