Sweet & Sourdough + Hanna’s Cakery family,

Some bittersweet news. I’ve gotten a lot of questions already so I wanted to be open and share this here as well.

No, I’m not baking anymore and I don’t plan to for the foreseeable future. I’m not sure if I’ll return to it at all. I haven’t talked much about it because I wanted to avoid all the “why” and “what if” conversations and wasn’t ready to let it go yet.

Right now I’m starting my personal training certification and I’m fully focused on this next chapter. It’s a big program with a lot of studying and I’m also continuing to pursue additional certifications throughout the year including Pilates, barre, and reformer training which requires some in person training hours away. My goal is to build a long term career in the fitness and wellness world. 🌎

Over time my priorities have shifted. My passion for baking just isn’t what it used to be and I’ve realized I can’t keep creating for such meaningful moments when my heart isn’t fully in it anymore. My customers deserve my best. 🤍

This page will stay up but custom orders are officially closed. I will still be doing the roadside stand this summer and in the future which will be the only way to get sourdough or treats from me. I’ll also bake occasionally for close family and friends but nothing beyond that.

This wasn’t an easy decision. Business has slowed and I found myself putting more in than I was getting out. After my health department scare a few years ago I never fully got back into my rhythm and I’ve gone back and forth for a long time but I knew I couldn’t stay in that cycle.

I’m so grateful for Gabe for supporting me through this and especially for allowing me to take this upcoming time off so I can fully focus on studying and what’s next. ❤️

I’m really excited for this new chapter and where life is leading me. My love for health and fitness has grown so much and I feel ready for something more aligned long term.

Thank you all for the love and support through this journey. It has meant everything to me. Gabe and I appreciate you more than you know. Any orders already placed will still be fulfilled. ❤️

Hi friends! 🐣

I know I’ve been a little slow getting orders out and replying lately, so thank you so much for your patience. It’s been a busy couple of weeks with lots of ideas in the works, family in town, and figuring out next steps for the business. I truly appreciate everyone sticking with me while things have been a little up in the air.

With that being said, the Easter menu is finally here! 🌸

I will be accepting orders now through April 3rd.
Cookies and cupcakes must be ordered by the dozen.
One flavor per dozen.

I promise I am working through messages and will get back to everyone who has reached out over the past couple weeks. I sincerely apologize for the slower responses. Doing everything on my own can get overwhelming at times, but I am so incredibly grateful for all of your support and kindness.

Just a gentle reminder about my hours and response times 🤍
I’m so grateful for all of your support, but I’m also just one person running everything behind the scenes. I’m not always able to respond right away, especially late at night. I turn off business messages on Sundays and Mondays (and during Gabe’s weekends off), and I keep my mornings for myself throughout the week.

Thank you for respecting my time and for continuing to support me, it never goes unnoticed!

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a quick update on hours/response times now that I’m officially diving back into baking full-time 🍰✨

First off, a huge thank you to all of you for your patience, kindness, and understanding while my response time hasn’t been the best. I truly appreciate it—and I’m sorry for any delays! Between getting back into the swing of things and planning my wedding (pretty much solo!), it’s been a lot to juggle.

The good news? Things are finally settling down, and I’m ready to start taking more and more orders! 🎉

Just a little reminder when reaching out: I’m a one-woman show over here! I handle everything—calls, messages, social media, orders, shopping, invoicing—you name it. Gabe helps when he can, but he’s busy with his full-time job (a real “big boy job” 😄), so the day-to-day is mostly on me.

So before getting frustrated, please remember there’s no team behind the scenes—just me doing my best to get to everyone as quickly as I can. I appreciate your support more than you know! 💛

Howdy everyone! We have some sad news.

Unfortunately, the stand won’t be ready in time for the 28th, so we’ll have to postpone our sale. I’m truly so sad, extremely sorry, and honestly a little heartbroken about it. The stand needs some work done still and won’t be ready by the 28th. Plus, Gabe’s work schedule just isn’t lining up with everything right now, and the weather definitely isn’t helping either. Life is just life. 🥲

We’ll keep you all posted as soon as we have a new date.
