Trials Are a Test of Your Faith

📖 James 1:2–4
“Count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”

Every trial is not meant to destroy you. Some trials come to develop you, strengthen you, and reveal just how deeply you trust God.

Faith is easy to speak about when everything is going well. But real faith is tested when the answer hasn’t come, the situation hasn’t changed, and you cannot see how things are going to work out.

That is when you must stand strong.

Stand when you’re tired.
Stand when you’re disappointed.
Stand when you don’t understand.
Stand when everything around you tells you to give up.

đź“– Psalm 46:10 reminds us:
“Be still, and know that I am God.”

God has not taken His hand off you just because you are going through a difficult season. His hand is still on you. His grace is still covering you. His strength is still carrying you.

You may not understand the trial while you are in it, but trust the One who already knows how it ends.

The fire may test you, but it does not have permission to consume you. The storm may shake you, but it does not have the authority to take you out.

God will see you through.

So don’t allow a temporary trial to make you question a permanent promise. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep standing.

Your trial is testing your faith—not canceling your future.

🙏🏾 Today’s Prayer:
Father, strengthen my faith when life becomes difficult. Help me stand when I feel weak and trust You when I cannot see the way ahead. Remind me that Your hand is always upon me and that no trial is greater than Your power. Give me the strength to endure, the wisdom to learn, and the faith to know that You will see me through. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

✨ TODAY’S REMINDER:
Stand strong. Be still. Trust God. His hand is on you, and He WILL see you through.

Happy Monday Beautiful People!
Blessings and Love.

DAILY BREAD WITH CHEF ASHLEY VANCE

“Don’t Reject What God Sent Because It Doesn’t Look Like What You Wanted”

Proverbs 18:22
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.”

There is something powerful in this scripture that we often overlook: the wife is connected to favor.

The Bible doesn’t say he who finds a perfect woman. It doesn’t say he who finds the woman who satisfies every worldly preference, feeds his ego, impresses his friends, or checks every superficial box.

It says he who finds a wife finds a GOOD THING and obtains FAVOR from the Lord.

Sometimes we miss God’s blessings because we are so focused on what we want that we reject what God knows we need.

We ask God for peace, but reject the person who brings peace because they don’t excite our ego.

We ask God for stability, but overlook the person who is steady because the world taught us to chase what is flashy.

We ask God for growth, but resist the person who challenges us to mature.

We ask God for loyalty, wisdom, partnership, encouragement, accountability, and purpose—then God places those qualities in front of us, and we dismiss the package because it doesn’t match the picture we created in our minds.

Be careful that your preferences don’t cause you to reject your provision.

Some blessings are individual blessings, but others are partnership blessings.

There are doors God may intend for two people to walk through together. There are visions that become stronger through partnership. There are weaknesses one person carries that another person’s strengths can help cover. There are assignments that require agreement, unity, wisdom, sacrifice, and cooperation.

That is why a God-ordained union is bigger than romance.

It is alignment.

But ego can make us blind to alignment.

Pride says, “I can do everything by myself.”

The world says, “Keep looking. Maybe something better is out there.”

Ego says, “They aren’t exactly what I imagined.”

But wisdom asks:

“God, is this what YOU sent?”

Because everything valuable will not arrive wrapped in glamour.

Sometimes your blessing looks like somebody who tells you the truth.

Sometimes it looks like someone who prays for you when you cannot pray for yourself.

Sometimes it looks like someone who sees potential in you that you haven’t fully stepped into yet.

Sometimes it looks like someone who brings discipline where you’ve had disorder, peace where you’ve had chaos, wisdom where you’ve been impulsive, and stability where you’ve been inconsistent.

And if you are only looking through the eyes of want, you can completely overlook what you need.

This applies to both people in a union. A God-ordained relationship isn’t about one person being the prize and the other simply receiving the blessing. Both should be able to recognize God’s goodness in what they have been given.

A wife is not merely someone to possess.

A husband is not merely someone to provide.

A godly union is two people recognizing:

“There is something God can accomplish through our agreement that neither of us was meant to accomplish the same way alone.”

So stop allowing social media, appearances, status, pride, past wounds, unrealistic expectations, or the opinions of other people to determine what is valuable.

You can spend years chasing what looks good and walk right past what is good.

And sometimes the favor you keep praying for is connected to the person you keep overlooking.

Today’s Daily Bread:

Don’t let your ego reject what your spirit needs.

Don’t let worldly standards talk you out of godly alignment.

Don’t become so committed to your “type” that you cannot recognize God’s choice.

And don’t keep asking God to send your blessing while refusing to recognize the blessing He has already placed before you.

He who finds a wife finds a GOOD THING and obtains FAVOR from the Lord. — Proverbs 18:22

Sometimes what you’ve been praying for isn’t waiting in another place.

It may be waiting on the other side of surrender, maturity, recognition, and a God-ordained union.

Prayer

Lord, give me the wisdom to recognize what comes from You. Remove pride, ego, superficial expectations, and worldly thinking that could cause me to reject something You intended for my good. Teach me to value character over appearance, purpose over preference, peace over excitement, and divine alignment over temporary attraction. Prepare me to be a blessing to the person You have prepared to be a blessing to me. And when You bring godly alignment into my life, give me the maturity to recognize it, nurture it, and never take it for granted.

Amen.

DONT’T MISS YOUR GOOD THING!

Proverbs 15:3
“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”

LIVE YOUR LIFE WITH INTEGRITY—REMEMBERING THAT GOD SEES ALL.

Integrity is not about who you are when the room is full. Integrity is who you are when nobody is watching.

People may never know the whole story.
They may never hear the conversation.
They may never see what happened behind closed doors.
They may never know what you said, what you did, what you took, what you hid, or how you treated someone when you thought there would be no consequences.

But God does.

Proverbs 15:3 reminds us that there is no private place where God’s presence cannot reach. He sees our public actions AND our private choices. He sees the kindness nobody applauded, the temptation you walked away from, the truth you told when lying would’ve been easier, and the right thing you did even when doing wrong would’ve benefited you.

And yes—He also sees the things we think we’ve gotten away with.

That’s why we shouldn’t build our character around whether people are watching. We should build it around knowing GOD IS WATCHING.

Don’t let your public character and your private character become two different people.

Be honest when dishonesty could benefit you.
Be faithful when nobody would find out.
Keep your word when breaking it would be convenient.
Treat people right even when they cannot do anything for you.
Do what is right even when there is no applause, recognition, reward, or audience.

Because eventually, what is inside of us shows up in the life we live.

And here’s the beautiful part: God’s eyes aren’t only searching for wrongdoing. He sees the GOOD, too.

He sees every sacrifice.
Every quiet act of obedience.
Every time you chose peace.
Every time you forgave.
Every time you helped somebody without announcing it.
Every time you could have retaliated but chose grace.
Every time you remained faithful while nobody was celebrating you.

God sees it ALL.

So live in a way that doesn’t require you to constantly cover your tracks, explain your behavior, or manage people’s perception of you.

Choose integrity. Choose truth. Choose character.

Because a clean heart and a clear conscience will give you a kind of peace that pretending never can.

Saturday Reminder:
You may be able to hide something from people, but you can never hide it from God. Live your life so that who you are privately matches who you claim to be publicly.

When nobody else sees you doing the right thing—GOD DOES. And that is enough.

🙏🏾 Prayer:
Lord, help me to live with integrity in every area of my life. Search my heart and correct anything in me that doesn’t please You. Help me to be honest, faithful, kind, and obedient—not because people are watching, but because I desire to honor You. May my private life and my public life reflect the same character. Thank You for seeing every quiet act of obedience and every effort to do what is right. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Stop Borrowing Other People’s Problems & Troubles

“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.” — Psalm 55:22

You can love people, pray for people, encourage people, and support people without carrying everything they are going through.

Some of us have such caring hearts that when someone we love is hurting, struggling, worried, or going through a difficult season, we pick up their burden as if it belongs to us. Before we know it, their stress has become our stress, their anxiety has disturbed our peace, and their problem is keeping us up at night.

But God never asked you to carry everybody.

There is a difference between helping someone with their burden and taking ownership of it. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is pray, offer what help you reasonably can, and then place that situation back into God’s hands.

Protecting your peace does not mean you don’t care. Setting boundaries does not mean you’ve stopped loving people. It simply means you recognize that God is God—and you are not.

This Friday, stop borrowing trouble that was never assigned to you. You have enough grace for what God has placed on your plate today. Trust Him with everything and everyone you cannot fix.

Friday Prayer:
Lord, give me the wisdom to know what is mine to carry and what I need to surrender to You. Help me love others without losing my peace. Keep me from taking responsibility for situations that belong in Your hands. I release every unnecessary weight today and choose peace, wisdom, and trust. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Go into this Friday lighter. You can care without carrying it all. 🤎

🌿 DAILY BREAD WITH CHEF VANCE 🌿

Psalm 19:8
“The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.”

There is a special kind of peace that comes when we allow God’s Word to guide our lives. His instructions are not meant to restrict us—they are meant to protect us, redirect us, and lead us into what is right.

Sometimes we ask God for a sign, an answer, or direction, while the wisdom we need is already waiting for us in His Word.

When life becomes confusing, go back to what God said.
When your heart becomes heavy, go back to what God said.
When you cannot see your next step clearly, go back to what God said.

His Word brings joy to the heart and light to the eyes. What confusion tries to cloud, God can make clear. What disappointment tries to steal, God can restore.

Today, ask the Lord:

“God, enlighten my eyes. Help me see my life, my circumstances, and my next steps through Your wisdom instead of my emotions.”

May your heart be filled with joy, your mind with wisdom, and your path with clarity today. 🙏🏽

Thursday Blessings!
Remember: God’s direction will never lead you away from His protection.

STRATEGIZE WITH GOD 🙏🏽

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3

Stop making plans and asking God to bless them afterward.

Invite God into the strategy.

Before you make the move, pray.
Before you respond, pray.
Before you sign it, pray.
Before you walk away, pray.
Before you say yes—or no—pray.

Sometimes the answer to your prayer isn’t more strength to keep pushing. Sometimes God gives you wisdom to move differently.

God can show you what you can’t see.
He can expose what doesn’t belong.
He can redirect you before you waste another season.
He can connect you to the right people and disconnect you from the wrong ones.
He can teach you when to move, when to wait, when to speak, and when to remain silent.

Faith doesn’t mean moving without a plan. It means allowing GOD to be part of the plan.

Don’t just work harder today.
Pray wiser. Listen closer. Move with intention.

When God gives you the strategy, you don’t have to understand every step. You just have to trust the One giving the directions.

Today’s Prayer:
Lord, order my steps today. Give me wisdom beyond my own understanding. Don’t allow me to move ahead of You or remain where You’ve told me to leave. Give me discernment, discipline, patience, and courage. Let every decision I make align with Your purpose for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Strategize with God. His wisdom can take you places your strength alone never could.

Take Care of Your Temple

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit…?”
— 1 Corinthians 6:19

We spend so much time taking care of everything and everyone around us that sometimes we forget about the one body God gave us to carry us through this life.

You only get ONE.

Taking care of your body isn’t just about losing weight, looking good, or fitting into a certain size. It’s about honoring the vessel God gave you.

Drink the water.
Eat foods that nourish you.
Move your body while you still can.
Get some rest.
Go to the doctor.
Pay attention when your body speaks.
Protect your peace.
Laugh more.
Stress less.
And give yourself grace while you learn to do better.

Your body has carried you through heartbreak, childbirth, grief, long workdays, sleepless nights, sickness, celebrations, mistakes, victories, and seasons you thought you wouldn’t survive.

Treat it with kindness.

We cannot ask God for a long, abundant life while continuously neglecting the body that has to carry us there.

You don’t have to change everything overnight. Start with one better decision today, then another tomorrow. Small acts of care are still acts of gratitude.

Lord, help us become better stewards of our bodies. Give us discipline where we need it, wisdom to recognize what is harming us, and grace for the days we fall short. Teach us to care for ourselves without guilt and to remember that our health is a blessing worth protecting.

Your body is your temple.
Honor it. Nourish it. Move it. Rest it. Love it.
You only get one. ❤️

🥖DAILY BREAD WITH CHEF VANCE🥖
“God Shows No Partiality.” — Romans 2:11

Today’s Daily Bread may be uncomfortable for some, but truth was never meant to make us comfortable—it was meant to make us FREE.

Racism, prejudice, discrimination, and hatred have no place in the heart of someone claiming to walk with God.

God did not create one race superior and another inferior.
He did not assign greater value to one shade of skin.
He did not breathe more purpose into one culture than another.

We were ALL created in the image of God.

You cannot praise God on Sunday and mistreat His creation on Monday.

You cannot ask God for favor while denying someone else fairness because of the color of their skin.

You cannot teach your children to love Jesus while teaching them—through words, jokes, silence, behavior, or example—to look down upon people who don’t look like them.

And discrimination isn’t always loud.

Sometimes it looks like being overlooked when you’re qualified.
Being followed when you’ve done nothing wrong.
Having to work twice as hard to receive half the recognition.
Being stereotyped before you’ve even spoken.
Being treated differently because of your name, your hair, your neighborhood, your accent, your culture, or the color of your skin.

God sees it.

But hear me clearly: experiencing hatred does not give us permission to become hateful ourselves.

We can confront racism without becoming racist.
We can expose injustice without surrendering our hearts to bitterness.
We can demand accountability and still belong to God.

Jesus taught us something radical: love your neighbor.

Not just the neighbor who looks like you.
Votes like you.
Lives like you.
Worships like you.
Or comes from where you come from.

YOUR NEIGHBOR. Period.

Acts 10:34 reminds us that “God is no respecter of persons.”

So today, examine your heart.

Not just everybody else’s.

Ask God:

“Lord, reveal anything in ME that does not reflect You. Remove prejudice I was taught, assumptions I inherited, hatred I picked up, and biases I may not even realize I carry. Help me see people through Your eyes.”

Because some generational curses aren’t financial.

Some are hatred, prejudice, ignorance, silence, and division passed from one generation to the next.

And somebody has to be courageous enough to say:

IT STOPS WITH ME.

May our children inherit something better from us.

More compassion.
More understanding.
More courage to speak when something is wrong.
More willingness to listen.
More justice.
More grace.
And above everything else—

MORE LOVE.

Different shades.
Different cultures.
Different stories.
Same Creator.

There is no room for racism where the love of God truly lives.

DAILY WORD — COVER OUR CHILDREN 🙏🏽

“He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” — Psalm 91:11

Today, my heart is with the children who are trying to find their way in a world that can be loud, confusing, tempting, and sometimes cruel.

Some children are lost but don’t know how to ask for directions.
Some are hurting but have learned to hide it behind anger.
Some are searching for love and acceptance in dangerous places.
Some are fighting battles their parents know nothing about.
And some simply need someone to remind them that their life has purpose.

Lord, cover our children.

Protect them from people who recognize their vulnerability and try to take advantage of it. Guard them from violence, addiction, exploitation, destructive friendships, dangerous relationships, and decisions that could alter the course of their lives.

Give them discernment before danger, wisdom before decisions, courage when they need to walk away, and strength when they feel pressured to follow the crowd.

When they wander, Lord, redirect them.
When they fall, help them rise.
When they are confused, send wise counsel.
When they feel unloved, surround them with genuine love.
When they cannot see their own worth, place someone in their path who will remind them.

And Father, give us adults the wisdom to recognize that sometimes a struggling child doesn’t need another lecture—they need guidance, accountability, patience, consistency, prayer, and a safe place to tell the truth.

May we never become so busy judging what a child is doing that we fail to ask what happened to them, what they are carrying, and what they need.

Every child deserves somebody praying for them.

So today, pray not only for your children. Pray for the child whose mother is exhausted. The child whose father is absent. The child being raised by grandparents. The child grieving. The child being bullied. The child making poor choices. The child who has run away. The child who feels forgotten. And especially the child who believes nobody would notice if they disappeared.

God, find them wherever they are.
Cover them. Protect them. Correct them. Guide them.
Put the right people around them and remove the wrong ones.
And lead every wandering child safely toward PURPOSE.

Our children don’t have to have everything figured out today.

They just need enough light for their next right step. ❤️
