We received the nicest email this week from Brett Real whose daughter participated in the 2026 Texas Rice Festival in September, and Won Grand Champion! Check out the clip from his email below, the photo of his daughter and her recipes! We're so appreciative of this support!

"Good afternoon! I just wanted to reach out since your name was mentioned in this post and let you guys know that we are huge supporters of your products.

We actually started buying your grits at the Red Stick Farmers Market a few years ago and have been fans ever since. We also use your fish fry!

My daughter recently won Grand Champion at the Texas Rice Festival with her Dirty Rice Dip. If you look at the bottom of the recipe, you’ll also see that we use your fish fry to coat the Dirty Rice Balls.

I just thought you guys might enjoy knowing that your products played a little part in her Grand Champion recipe! We’ve enjoyed supporting you over the years and wanted to share her accomplishment with you.

Also, if you guys would like to share her story, photos, or recipe on your page or use them for any of your social media or marketing, you’re more than welcome to. We’d be happy for you to share it!
Brett Real"

It's Red Stick Market Day today at the Pennington Location on Perkins Road. Check out all the wonderful vendors! They're waiting for you. Be sure to stop by the Bonnecaze Farms booth and say hello to Sandy. Check out our great Papa Tom's products and Sandy's delicious jellies, jams, and pickled veggies! Pick up a cornbread, made from our Papa Tom's corn flour, rice flour and seasoning mix! I know it's hot but all the vendors are waiting.

Today is Thursday. It's another Farmer's Market Day at the Pennington location of the Red Stick Farmer's Market. Check out all the great vendors. The weather is getting a little cooler, finally. It's a good time to get some grits or oatmeal from Sandy at Bonnecaze Farms. Cooler weather means soup. Pick up some delicious soup from Lisa at Supper Solutions and with that soup grab a cornbread from Sandy at Bonnecaze Farms. And, check out Sandy's new Louisiana French Mulberry Jelly. It is super! There are lots of great vendors with lots of wonderful products such as Lena Farms, Father's Coffee, Cutrer' Meat Market, Anna Marie Seafood, Sugar Mill Confections (one of my favorites here is the blueberry muffin). Open from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, every Thursday.

These are pretty good.

Corn meal griddle cakes are a great accompaniment to almost any meal. And it's never been better than when it's made from scratch using Papa Tom's cornmeal. ...
