HAPPY MARDI GRAS 🎭

At the end of another crazy King Cake season, I can honestly say the fabulous bakers at St. Bruno Bread Co. have honed in on what King Cake “perfection” we are striving for. Not too bready, not too sweet, beautiful layers, and to top it off the cream cheese icing with the perfect balance of flavor. We have our trial and error notes signed and sealed and ready for 2027 🫡
In my opinion, there’s no one king cake better than the other… they all slap 🤌.

We are the proud Poboy bread bakers of Bear’s Restaurant in Covington LA🤘.
If you ask Mr. Josh or Josh they’ll tell you… this is an every day labor of love that we talk about and tweak daily (don’t ask them about our bad days 😂).
I would not be the bread baker I am today nor would St. Bruno be the bakery that it is today without the privilege and guidance from the Watson’s, and the team at Bear’s that makes the magic come together in the best damn sandwich money can buy. 🫶Bear’s Restaurant

St. Bruno is officially 2 and the real Saint Bruno would be 15 today 🫶

Grateful, tired, happy, stressed, fulfilled, invigorated, hopeful and thankful 🙏

It’s a bittersweet symphony, but wouldn’t have it any other way. Cheers to the bakers that make it happen (past and present), cheers to the drivers that deliver, cheers to the patron saint of St. Bruno, and cheers to the people and the businesses that have embraced 🫡
