Caramel pecan sticky rolls are warm and ready for y’all Steam 'N Barrel Mercantile! 😋 Sourdough bread, sourdough cheese straws and sourdough cookies ( chocolate chip, banana pudding, oatmeal raisin, and apple 🍎 fritter) and sourdough Big Deborahs too! Come stock up on everything you need for opening dove day 🕊️ (the guys have EVERYTHING you need for a successful hunt), and treat yourself to a little something sweet too. Tell your spouse I have you permission. 😉 😂

Goooood afternoon my beautiful biscuits! I’ve just dropped off at Steam 'N Barrel Mercantile, and fall is in the air! Well….in my heart anyway. 😂 It’s still hotter than a firecracker on the Fourth of July, but it’s the thought that counts y’all. I’m going to slowly roll out your fall favorites over the next few weeks and pray for some relief from this heat.

On that note….Sourdough apple fritter cookies are back! ❤️ I have it on good authority that they taste mighty fine in a stand….or in a dove 🕊️ field. 😉 On that note, it’s time to bust some birds y’all!!! I’m dreaming of smoked bacon 🥓 and jalapeño wrapped dove “nuggets”. 🤤 I’m getting everything I need to make those feathers 🪶 fly at the mercantile, and you can too! I hope everyone has a safe and successful hunt this weekend should you choose to partake.

Gooooood morning my beautiful biscuits!!!! I’ve just dropped off at Steam 'N Barrel Mercantile, and I’ve brought back some of your favorites too! “Un-Birthday Cake” (Everyday is your birthday if you believe in yourself 🎂 😉 🥰), sourdough buttercream sugar cookies, sourdough double doozies, and more! Go see Jason and sweet Birch 🐶 and show some of my favorite folks some love too! 🥰 It’s hunting season, and they’ve got everything y’all need for a successful season, including some of my tasty treats for the stand. I have it on good authority even the deer like them. Better than a food plot. Get that big buck y’all. 😉 🦌

Goooooood afternoon my beautiful biscuits! I’ve just dropped off at Steam 'N Barrel Mercantile! The old grain bin has been replenished with some of y’all’s favorites! Come see my favorite folks, and get everything you need for a successful hunting season! By the way, you can also purchase your hunting and fishing licenses at the mercantile! 🦌 🦃 🎣

I had planned on bringing back another favorite sourdough cookie this week, but with the queen of country 🦋 passing yesterday, I thought I would make something she might have liked instead. I’m not all that interested in celebrities to be honest with y’all. The majority aren’t exactly folks I’d aspire to emulate, nor admire. Dolly was a rare exception. She never had anything bad to say about anybody, and nobody had anything bad to say about her. She lived her life as close as I can figure that Jesus would have us live. She was uncommonly kind, generous to a fault, loved children and encouraged them to read. All while having an incredible sense of humor, and seemingly endless talent. She was humble, she was kind and I would argue that she was truly America’s sweetheart. Dolly was everything we should all aspire to be, and she was without doubt one of God’s most beautiful creatures and some of his best work.

I remember watching one of her interviews with my niece (whom loved Dolly and admired her greatly) several years ago, and aside from her hilarious banter, one of the things that made me smile was just how down to earth she was. The interviewer asked what her favorite foods were. She laughed and said she’d never met a potato she didn’t like, and that one of her favorite desserts was banana 🍌 pudding. I remember thinking how refreshing it was for a celebrity to choose something humble that average Joes everywhere could appreciate in equal measure, and I recognized the truth in her eyes when she wandered back in times and wistfully replied “My mama’s was the best.” I made my sourdough banana 🍌 pudding cookies in honor of her memory, and the way she made my niece and I smile during that interview. She was unapologetically herself in a world that so often demands constant apology for not conforming to its expectations. I greatly admired her, and she is one of the very few celebrities that I’m truly saddened to hear of her passing. She was a light in this sometimes very dark world we live in today, and I’m sorry to see her go.

I always tell y’all to be kind, give grace and stay beautiful at the end of my posts. Today is no exception, but I’d like to add: be more like Dolly. She embodied all of the above, but she went the extra mile for her fellow man too. She wasn’t afraid to love folks exactly as they are, and she wished kindness upon everyone, even folks she’d yet to meet. Go out of your way to make someone smile this week, it’ll make the world a more beautiful place…just like Dolly did. 🌈 🦋

Y’all know what I’m going to say, but I’ll say it just the same: be kind, give grace, and stay beautiful my sweet biscuits. ❤️

Blueberry lemon pound cake, vanilla pound cake, sourdough cookies (Chocolate chip, Biscoff cookie butter, and pecan pie), Big Deborah sourdough oatmeal cream pies, sourdough bread, sourdough cheese straws and bread crumbs too! ❤️

All of favorite folks are all here today well, except for Shane, but Shane’s nuts (I swear I’m not being terse y’all, they really are his nuts 🥜 😂) are here, so it’s like he’s here in spirit anyway. 😆🤣 Even Birch is here y’all. ❤️🐶

Gooooooood afternoon my beautiful biscuits! I’ve just dropped off and restocked my grain bin at Steam 'N Barrel Mercantile, and I’ve filled it back up with all your favorites including the sourdough pecan pie cookie. 😋 If y’all can’t tell….I’m dying for fall y’all, these scorching summer days can kick rocks as far as I’m concerned. I long for cozy layers and fall flavors too. I swear I’d launch back into the pumpkin cheesecake and apple fritter sourdough cookies right now if I could. I’m dreaming of that delicious nip in the air and the kaleidoscope of autumnal foliage too.
❤️ 🍁 🍂 As it is I can’t help but feel almost too southern (if there’s such a thing), rebelliously drinking my third cup of black coffee hot enough to boil crawfish 🦞 in this biscuit-blistering heat, and daring the weather to get any hotter. 😆 Sorry y’all, I’m having a moment. 😂 I need Chris Jackson to bring us news of a cold front in the worst way. 🥶

Thank y’all for all of your kind words on mine and Austin’s reel. I read everything y’all wrote to him and I promise y’all Cannon does not make a lens wide enough for his million-megawatt smile. He told me to tell all of y’all that he loves y’all too. 🥰
Y’all made our week. I can’t get enough of just how happy your words made him. I’m beyond thankful for our community, your support and the love y’all have shown Austin. Thank y’all from the bottom of my heart. ♥️ Seeing him so happy has more than made my week. It was everything.
