Books Between Bites is pleased to announce its 34th season, to begin Thursday, September 15. The series is held at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Avenue, from noon to 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend these free programs, presented September through May, on the third Thursday of the month. Reservations are not required.

After a nearly 2-year pause due to COVID restrictions, the 2022-2023 season opens on September 15th, with Batavian Karl Bruhn sharing the Story of Recent Major Renovations of the Old Post Office in Chicago. A volunteer at the Chicago Architecture Center for the past 12 years, local and regional history has always fascinated Karl, sparking an interest when renovations of the Old Post Office in Chicago began. He’ll share the history of the building we drive through on the Eisenhower Expressway. Renovations to this great Chicago landmark were the most expensive ever done to a private building in the history of the United States.
