I’m excited to be collaborating with Rookwood pottery and Mike Morgan of Queen City History Tours to do a beer and dessert tasting! There will be several sessions on November 5th. Not only do you get to try beer and desserts, you get a behind the scenes tour and a beautiful signature platter to take home.

I have not posted for a bit. The main reason is that I have been extremely busy with wedding cake orders. I didn’t realize how much time is involved with the process from numerous communications, to tastings, to eventual setup. Secretly, I have always dreamed of doing solely wedding orders. I love being a part of these special days. Sadly, I cannot take on as many orders not related to weddings. Therefore, I have decided to focus my business on wedding cakes, 3D cakes, and sugar cookies. As of May 15th 2022, I will no longer be taking orders for birthday cakes and other occasions. If I already have an order for you on my calendar, I will complete that order. Thank you for letting me make your cakes over the years. I have enjoyed it. I feel bad that I have turned down a number of orders in the last year due to being fully booked. However, I take pride in my products and cannot compromise the process once booked.

For you that know me, know that I am a painter at heart. It’s always been a passion for me. I unintentionally stepped away from it for quite a while. I have recently been reinvigorated about painting, drawing, hand lettering, and calligraphy. These are all things I’ve done since I was a kid. I had forgotten how much happiness they bring me. Therefore, I’m making an effort to concentrate on what has always been a part of me: art! I’ve started a new Instagram page. It’s called designed artfully!
