We're making progress on our 50 Cake Challenge and are excited to share that we're now down to just 30 cakes left to sell!
Every cake purchased helps support our family and allows us to continue sharing our story with all of you. What started as a simple baking project has become a journey filled with hope, memories, and precious time together.
This week we're offering:

🚚 Cody deliveries available this week on Friday afternoon. And Sheridan on the 18th.
We recently enjoyed a beautiful drive through the South Fork delivering cakes. These outings have become something Mark truly looks forward to, and we're thankful for every opportunity to get out and enjoy Wyoming's beauty together.

💜 Dementia Awareness 💜
This morning, I'm feeling thankful and heartbroken at the same time.
We're having a beautiful, cool Wyoming morning—perfect weather for mowing. Like many mornings lately, the day started with, "Where are we going today?" When I told Mark it was a chore day and a great morning for mowing, he looked disappointed but agreed.
I'm so thankful that he can still mow the lawn.
At the same time, it's heartbreaking to watch him stop and ask for help turning off the water, wonder where he left off after emptying the grass catcher, or forgetting how to charge the mower battery. He missed a few spots today, and I'm learning to let those things go and simply be grateful for what he can still do.
It takes me back to when our girls were young and learning to mow. We taught them to make straight lines and follow directions. The difference is that children are learning and building new skills. Dementia slowly steals the ability to remember and follow multiple steps, no matter how many times they've done them before.
But today also brought a gift.
While mowing, Mark began talking about his childhood and wanted to call his mom. They had a wonderful visit. I noticed he struggled a little more to find the right words, but the memories were there, and for a moment, they brought him joy.
Dementia is a constant mixture of grief and gratitude. We grieve the abilities that are slipping away while cherishing the moments, memories, and connections that remain.
Today, I'm choosing gratitude. 💜 💜
