This is my dear friend Kate. From the moment we met, I could sense she had a heart of gold. Over the years, I have seen her heart shine in so many ways. Most recently, Kate and her husband Scott, made the commitment to support a Ukrainian family throughout the period of their humanitarian parole in the United States. Next week they will be welcoming a family of five(2 parents, 3 children and 3 cats!)into their home and lives.
Kate's efforts have been monumental-from sending food and supplies to Ukraine to navigating the complicated process of bringing a family to America.
There is still so much to be done. In Kate's words, "It is all at once heartbreaking and joyous, arduous and easy, terrifying and exciting".
