A recent Leading Asian Americans to Unite for Change poll estimated that 22 MM people in this country identified themselves as of Asian descent and another 1.5 MM identified as Pacific Islander. According to LAAUNCH, “Within these regional groups, a huge variety of ethnicities exist within the Asian American community. People who identify their heritage as Chinese, Indian or Filipino make up the largest share.” In addition to the 4 largest communities, there are an additional 16 additional communities mentioned in the report. This tells you that the AAPI community is not a monolith but also there are millions of AAPI stories to be told. So, please come to get to know us because we’d love to find space to tell our stories.
