Exciting news, pastry people! Bramble is making moves to get you more cakes, pies, cookies, etc. out of our very own storefront space. After years of stretching ourselves to operate as a pop-up out of rented kitchens, this move brings all sorts of new potential to how we operate and bake. BUT we have a lot of work to do!

the day has finally come! i don’t mean the consumer holiday, but the relaunch of our SPECIAL ORDER CAKES. 💫 new seasonal flavors are up on the website for your birthday/achievement/anytime ordering. quite frankly, we’re very excited about them, including this spiced chocolate buttermilk cake with whiskey swiss meringue buttercream and toasty meringue on top (also available sans whiskey.) as always, orders must be placed at least five days in advance, but often our calendar fills up quicker than that. excited to create cakes for you again. 💓

i’ve developed very complicated feelings about what once was a favorite food-centric holiday. framing thanksgiving as a day to celebrate the beginning of the white colonizer in america isn’t something i’m willing to perpetuate, and i want to state that explicitly. i’ve started to think more about the day as one to share what i love and know best (pie) in service of reflection. this includes support of and deep gratitude for Indigenous communities. we will be reallocating 10% of total sales to , and i’ll be spending time with resources that teach me more about my role as a human and baker working on and using ingredients from occupied Piscataway land. i’ll share these for those interested in learning/unlearning as well.
