Hello!
Wanted to give some updates in regards to how corona has/ is affecting us and what we expect in the near future.
I’ve talked to a lot of business owners and people are anticipating on Monday, in Baltimore, that there is going to be a ‘lockdown’ put in place.
On Sunday night @ 8PM New York will completely shut down all businesses that are non essential.
Greg’s and most restaurants will be considered essential. I called multiple bagel shops in New York to ask them about how the ‘lockdown’ was going to affect them and they said that they are going to be continuing to run as they have been since they were restricted to carry out and delivery only.
So simplified
The main thing that has changed is you can’t sit down and eat. **
You can walk in, order, and wait for your food.
Or order w an updated menu/ a reactivated grub account 🙂.
It’s important to keep physical space between each other. We are a community and while we want everyone to have all the bagels their heart’s desire, we want everyone to be safe and healthy first and foremost.

Outside of the shop-
This is not an easy time for anyone, especially not for restaurants. People on work visas/ undocumented workers have no aid to rely on. They are not going to get benefits that we will receive at some point. I have a few friends that are in this position and are looking for work. Nanny work, driving work, whatever work. They are good people who worked at reputable places and could use some help due to their work places closing. If anyone could give them work please let me know.
We will all get through this together.
We appreciate the support and love. Thank you everyone.
We are most active on Instagram
We will keep updating Facebook as well with developments.
Honestly I’m not very good with social media- I’ve tried. It feels weird to post things that aren’t significant to me just to post, so we don’t stay as active on social media as others. As Greg said, “I have a house phone and shop phone, if you can’t reach me at either of those I don’t want to be reached.” - I’m not quiet that serious, but we do love seeing everyone in person. There isn’t a person that comes into this store on a regular basis that we don’t care for. And just as everyone is there for us if there is anything WE can do for you please let us know. It’s not just a hard time for us.
