May I present the raspberry trifle, a delightful layered dessert. Made for The Distillery Collective live show last week. It received rave reviews. Here’s the recipe:
1 pound cake (homemade or pre-made from the frozen section)
large box vanilla pudding (prepared according to package)
8 oz. cool whip
2 cups raspberries
Raspberry jam
Instructions
1. Prepare the pound cake according to the directions. Tear into small chunks and set aside.
2. Prepare vanilla pudding according to the package directions.
3. When pudding is set, mix it thoroughly with cool whip.
4. Place one-third of pudding mixture in the bottom of your bowl.
5. Cover with half of the pound cake chunks, dollops of jam and one-third of the raspberries.
6. Place another layer of pudding mixture, pound cake,dollops of jam and raspberries.
7. Cover with remaining pudding mixture and raspberries.
