What size cookie cutter should I order?
I was printing these sets for customers this week and thought it would be a fun visual for you all to see.
When I design sets, I design each cutter so that the size of each looks visually proportional and cohesive to the whole set.
But what if you are piecing individual cutters together to create your own cookie set?
While it depends on what the cookies are going to be used for…
•I’m a big fan of 3.5” cutters as a base size for a set.
•If it’s a chubby cutter where the length and width are close to the same (think circles or squares), I will opt for 3.0” to go with my other 3.5” cutters
•If it’s a skinny cutter, whether long or tall, I will opt for 4.0” or 4.5” to go with my other 3.5” cutters
•If I’m making a single cookie to be given as a gift in an individual bag, I will opt for 4.0” (or sometimes 4.5” depending on the shape) to make it seem like a substantial gift
•If I’m making a platter for an event, it’s always great to vary sizes and throw in some 2.0” minis to give guests options. Some people just want a taste (or two or three 😉)
Hope that helps as you are deciding what sizes to order. Always feel free to email me before placing your order if you need some guidance.
