Baking bread is messy. Especially in large quantities! Flour is one of the messiest ingredients you could have in your kitchen. But baking is a labor of love. It is hard none the less, but it is also therapeutic to me. My mind and heart are at peace when I’m working on my products. My body becomes tired but my heart becomes full when the product is done and someone has enjoyed it. Because of that I can endure the mess. Maybe someday I will have a bigger, more commercialized kitchen but for now I am grateful for what I do have…the most important tools being my hands and my heart!

Mixing up the Amish Bread tonight! 8 loaves in the works! While all my sourdough on hand mixed y sandwich loaves are done in a big Italian mixer called a Famage! I can do 12 or more loaves in our or a little over 200 cookies! I haven’t counted how many bagels yet!!!
