In our home, we make a lot from scratch.
Bread rising on the counter. Cookies cooling on the stove. Bagels boiling before the sun is fully up. Locally raised meat defrosting on the counter for supper. My kids growing up knowing what real ingredients taste like — flour on their hands, farm-fresh eggs cracked into bowls, crackling bacon in the cast iron and the simple joy of food made with intention.
What started as helping friends — bringing fresh bread, sides or smokef meats to brandings, baking for birthday parties, showing up with trays of homemade food just because — slowly turned into something more. Then came the weddings. Someone trusting me with wedding cakes for one of the most important days of their life. That still feels sacred every single time. (We continue to offer full bloom catering services for those special celebrations.)
Somewhere in between, sourdough and baking became a rhythm. Regular customers. Weekly loaves. Baked sweet treats. And my personal favorite — custom high-protein bagels. The pizza and cheddar jalapeño are my family’s top picks.
Baking is my love language. Always has been. There is something deeply meaningful about sending bread from my kitchen to your table — knowing your family gets the same care, quality, and farm-fresh ingredients that mine does.
Providing that kind of joy — the simple, wholesome kind — is why I do this.
