"Maoz Tsur" ("Strong Rock of My Salvation") is a Jewish liturgical poem that celebrates the Israelites' deliverance from four ancient enemies, sung during Hanukkah following the lighting of the menorah (festival lights).

Written by the 19th-century English synagogue composer Julius Mombach, arranged by Todd Marchand. Northern Illinois University 27th Annual Holiday Concert, December 7, 2025.

New music (demo) for brass quintet and percussion: "Skye Boat Song"

A late 19th-century song that recounts the escape from Scotland of Bonnie Prince Charlie following his failed campaign to retake the throne of the United Kingdom, the Skye Boat Song quickly became popular in its own time, and it has enjoyed even greater renown since the folk music revival of the 1960s and the rising popularity of Scottish and Irish music in the late 20th and 21st centuries. This arrangement explores the tune in various keys and harmonizations and includes percussion parts for bodhrán and triangle/susp. cymbal (may be played on drum set with the included part).
