Today we remember the man that started it all. 🥹✨

Barry Greenblatt was born in Detroit and came to Toledo with a dream. He opened the very first Barry Bagels in 1972 at just 23 years old. What began as a single bagel shop grew into something much bigger — a place where people felt welcomed, valued and at home.

Barry made every customer feel like family. His kindness, generosity, integrity and unwavering support for the community became the heart of everything Barry Bagels stands for.

Every time you walk through our doors, we hope you experience the same warmth, hospitality and sense of belonging that Barry shared with so many.

We honor Barry everyday, but especially today. Thank you for the legacy you built and the lives you touched!
