Going to try out these s’mores filled cookies on my co workers tomorrow. If I get a good reaction it will be part of the menu! The egg is to show the size of them.

On another note an answered prayer this week when a very generous friend offered to pay for the last certificate necessary to begin baking at the commercial kitchen. I am also getting g ready to try different mailing techniques to get product to buyers fast amd fresh. My generous friend will be the recipient of said test mailings! GOD is good!

Update: after a long ( and painful!) journey I have had hip replacement surgery and recovering nicely. All licenses and certificates have been obtained with only one additional one waiting to to paid but secured. Baking at a full scale facility will be taking place by mid summer and a full menu to follow with mail order, local delivery and wholesale as well as farmers markets and college subscription services. Thank you to everyone who have liked and shared this page and have been patient during this long process. Please tell a friend to like the page also! Looking forward to updating you several times a week!

A little Easter baking. An Italian tradition, sweet dough Easter bread is made with honey and a softer bread dough. The bread is washed with eggs and candy sprinkles added before baking. The egg in the bread is hard boiled and yes, you can eat it. Best toasted with butter (Kerry Gold recommend!) it’s impossible to stop at one slice. The house tends to smell sweet after you toast it up!

Just an update for everyone. I’ve been going for clearance for hip replacement and found out somewhere along this journey I had a heart attack (!) although a slight one still a heart attack all the same. I’ve been consumed with doctors, testing and attempting to get a date for surgery from my surgeon to no avail. Hopefully I’ll get one this week as I try to hit the required weight goal that is just so easy to do when your stressed to the max. ( yes, that’s sarcasm)
I am also getting the required licenses to begin production in the new baking facility and finding the cost is more than originally expected and it’s slower than I’d like as saving the $$ is difficult but it is happening! Mail order wholesale and farmers market all within reach. I also have a graphic designer, marketing manager and apprentice baker all looking to help by working for free and for baked goods! It’s coming together! Thank you for your patience and as promised I am working on some videos to post of simple recipes. A lot happening all while I am still working 10 hour work days at my job. It’s exhausting. Hoping mainly for the $$ for the licenses which will speed things up. Thank you everyone!!! And please share this page with your friends! A menu will also soon follow.

Update!! As you can tell things have been a bit quite lately. I want to assure you I am still here!! I am in the process of securing a facility to handle the demand I suddenly experienced. Updates will follow and posts will begin again this week. I also hope to begin some videos teaching simple 1-2-3 recipes. Please stay tuned as we begin building and starting this new journey together!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has like this page, messaged words of encouragement and compliments on our products and for your support these past few months. It seems Ave Maria and many outside this amazing community have found us and we have gone from word of mouth to an inbox of requests faster than we can reply! This new year we are looking into a larger facility able to handle the demand and hope everyone will stay with us and share this page as we build on this overwhelming response. Pizzelles are one of the oldest known cookies and originated in the mid section of Italy dating back to the 8 th century. Made mainly at first for “The Festival of the Snakes” also known as the Feast of San Demenico in the village of Colcullo in the region of Abruzzo. The highly recognizable Italian cookies gets its shape by having the batter pressed between hot iron plates much like a waffle iron. The original Pizzelle iron was an Italian American invention by Charles De Marco back in the 1950’s. These delicious cookies average approximately 23 calories a cookie ( give or take a calorie or two) and come in a variety of flavors. This week we offer two of the most traditional flavors, Anise and a light Almond. Each box contains between 8-10 cooked depending on weight equal to half a pound. Each box is $8.

And as a most requested item our (now) famous Rainbow cookies are available in a one pound box for $12.

Cash or Venmo accepted and delivery is always free to Ave Maria or pop by to say hi for pick up!

Thank you to everyone who purchased these past two weeks for the kind words! I am doing my best to delight and satisfy everyone’s requests and hope to offer these suggestions soon.

This weekend due to the overwhelming response to the fudge filled vanilla wafers we are offering them again in fun fall colors. Our wafers are buttery soft and filled with homemade fudge. A bag of 10 are $7. Also we have our delicious Italian Rainbow Cookies boxed and ready. A little over a pound for $12. Also featured are a bag of 4 dark chocolate walnut clusters. These are made without any gluten and will satisfy any chocolate craving! Each bag is $5. Last but not least is a thin sheet of coconut magic. A buttery graham cracker base holds a layer of chocolate a layer of coconut and a layer of walnuts baked in sweetened condensed milk. This is perfect for a base for ice cream sundaes, topped with pudding and whipped cream or to share with a friend. Each boxed sheet is $6.
We do accept Venmo or cash.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful response and kind words these past few weeks! It has been a pleasure to bring you a few of my fathers ( and his godfathers) recipes to enjoy. Several people have asked about Pizzells. YES! I will be featuring this traditional Italian cookie within the next week or two. They will be in traditional anise flavor and I am hoping for 2-3 additional flavors to follow. Keep an eye out for the post for when they are ready!
