Lots of buttercream this week! I'm always thankful for buttercream orders, because I get to perfect my buttercream skills but it is a nice break from so much fondant sculpting all the time. This customer specifically wanted a crescent moon in these colors with little representations of her two cats!

I've been quiet today decorating a couple cakes, not much time online because my youngest is SICK. I'm in full momma mode instead of cake mode. So no over the top content from me today. BUT! I wanted to share that I received a really cool DM from my friends at Satin Ice, and they are sending me a Halloween goodie box of products! Another collaboration! I'm so honored and thrilled. They've never reached out to me to give me goodies. They have featured my photos and videos, but never this! I can't wait to see what they are sending so I can plan something really spooktacular! You guys!!!! This is huge! 🥰🥰🥰

How to make a book Cake! A quick behind the scenes tutorial on how to decorate and design a book Cake. I make these all the time. They are so fun to customize for each recipient. you can change out the edible imaging on the book's fines for fondant decoration, you can make a topper instead of using flowers, and changing out. your colors, are just a few ways you can customize a book cake to your liking!

I've been featured in the September issue of D'Licious Magazine! This is my third feature, and I'm on the Insane Modeling page in the Lookbook section. This is my third feature in this magazine in less than 6 months. Super proud of that! So hopeful to get more "insane" modeling requests in the future. These are my favorite types of cakes!

Testimonial Tuesday! LGBTQ style!

This cake was so special. It's always wonderful to get to make special occasion cakes for anytime, but it's even more special to do this for the LGBTQ community. We really had to fight for our rights to marry. When my wife and I started dating, it was still illegal to marry. So being a part of another LGBTQ couple's special day means so much. Not only that, this couple has gone through so much the last few years, and one worked for the Austin Fire department (my wife also works for AFD. I don't know them personally, but both of them know what I mean when I say Family is family. And they are family in more ways than one.

So let's celebrate this cake and their love today!

Cake Decorating Tutorial! A lot of hard work went into this amazing cake and cupcake set. This has to be some of my best Fondant sculpting and I couldn't be more proud. I couldn't be any more proud of this cake! All of these decorations came out so great! I'm pretty sure this is my favorite character cake to date. Top it off with those 24 cupcakes, You better believe I was consumed with Mario Brothers for a couple days. Worth it!

Before I reveal the amazing Mario Brothers cake, you must know that this cake was paired with two dozen Mario cupcakes. Never underestimate how long it takes to make cupcake toppers. A lot of times. Cupcake orders take longer to create decorations and cake orders. I am so excited about how these cupcakes turned out, and all the decorations for the cake are amazing as well. I can't wait for the full reveal, but for now have a little teaser and check out these amazing cupcakes!
