The original Magnolia Lee turned 10 last week, and as you can see, she is now a huge Harry Potter fan. I had made a gorgeous sugar sail for the top, but the humidity from the rainstorm made it melt by morning. So, the sail became a bunch of gilded shards instead.

Fall is definitely stroopwafel season for us. This delicious beauty was inspired by 's Holiday Boxes on sale via Instagram right now. They include Dutch pepernoten (button cookies enveloped in a stroopwafel glaze), vegan stroopwafel dark chocolate bark from local and gluten free stroopwafel. My classic gluten free chocolate cake is topped off with a stroop caramel drizzle.

Baked my first pecan pie yesterday. It was a bit haphazard with the last minute decorations while the pie was still hot and grabbing whatever maple syrup, corn syrup and molasses I had in the pantry, but it turned out super delicious and not too sweet.
The saying "I just wanna bake and watch Christmas movies" definitely holds true for me this year. 3 more weeks till winter break!
