I learned to make baklava 40+ years ago and baklava is my go-to gift to share with family and friends. My family knows I often have to resort to hiding it before holidays or special events just to keep them out of it until the right time! For me, preparing a tray of Baklava is like painting or gardening: it takes time, patience, and effort to get the desired results; and at its completion it is admired for its beauty and accomplishment.
