Unitary America is holding another food giveaway, on Saturday, June 27th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Plattsburgh Public Library. 🥫

Food will be distributed as supplies last. If you are in need of food, we encourage you to attend.

For any volunteers, please meet before or at 10:00 a.m. at the library to help with event set-up/ tabling.

Spread the word, and let's feed Plattsburgh.

I'm trying to work out strawberry rhubarb macarons again (using rulfs strawberries and my moms rhubarb), but it's also my daughters regents week and the driving back and forth doesn't leave me with good time frames for making shells. I will update on that on Friday! :)

*sorry, no krispie treats :( but LOTS more OREO TRUFFLE COOKIES- Those didn't stand a CHANCE yesterday!!! 🫣🥳

In the stand today:

OG CINNAMON BUNS- Fresh gooey buns, made with local chicken and duck eggs, homemade vanilla bean paste in the dough. Using my signature blend of Saigon and Ceylon cinnamons (which don't seem to cause heartburn!), these will taste like something you've never had before. Topped with a maple vanilla bean glaze using Parkers Maple Syrup 🍁

BROWN BUTTER SOURDOUGH CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES- Browned butter makes these taste nutty, the sourdough makes them tangy and chewy. Both milk and semi sweet chips used in the dough this week.

CROOKIE- The above cookie, baked into the center of a giant croissant. Outside is crispy, inside is soft- magical.

OREO TRUFFLE STUFFED COOKIES AND CREAM COOKIE- A scratch made oreo truffle stuffed into the center of a giant cookies and cream cookie base, with a white chocolate drizzle and cookie crumble. These are ...wow I truly don't have the words to describe them, but if you love oreos, these are for you! OH and they are over 5oz each 😅

LAVENDER SHORTBREADS- limited amount 💜 Shortbreads made WITHOUT EGGS, and using culinary grade lavender from Adirondack View Lavender in Keeseville 😍 These are delicate special little babies, but they are my favorite!!

CINNY-MELTS- torn up cinnamon buns thrown together in a small tin, with extra filling and lots of frosting. These are ... diabeetus in a tin 🫣😅 (limited amount)

VIRAL DOT CAKES IN THE COOLER- Scratch made vanilla cake, with a scratch made vanilla frosting, layered in an 8oz cup, topped with tons of non-pareils! These were in the fridge so they didn't get melty, and will be located in the cooler next to the stand as well. Be sure to let come to room temp, otherwise the frosting will be hard!

Chef Ben is an amazing cook! We LOVE his fresh bread!!! Please consider purchasing a loaf or two to help benefit this amazing non-profit, the Keeseville Hope Kitchen 🫶🥰💕 I promise you will love it!!

Exciting update!

We are having a bread fundraiser! All profits go to the Keeseville Hope Kitchen!

One of our core values at the Keeseville Hope Kitchen is gathering around the table to share a meal together. A big part of finding community can be found in sharing a warm, homemade slice of bread, slathered with butter.

We love creating good, quality meals for our community and a big part of this is Chef Ben's homemade bread. Now, you can take home a loaf for yourself and to share with friends and family!

The Details:

-Bread order is open until Wednesday, June 24.
-Suggested donation of $10/loaf.
-Order pick-up is on Friday, June 26 from 5 to 7 pm at 124 Hill Street in Keeseville.
-Donations can be made online or with cash (due no later than June 26).
