Happy National Dog Day!

Story: Leila Lee is our rescued Pomsky, adopted from a local shelter. She was discovered with injured paws, having lived outside without a home, frightened of doorways and undernourished. She had been eating dirt, seemingly afraid of everything around her. Adopted the day after her birthday on December 6th, we have since been diligently helping her overcome her traumas. Now, she has a loving family that adores her always and forever.

🤔Did you know: Founded in 2004 by Colleen Paige, National Dog Day celebrates all dogs, both mixed and pure breeds, and aims to raise awareness about the many dogs that need to be rescued each year from public shelters, rescues, and pure breed rescues. National Dog Day honors family dogs and those that work selflessly to save lives, keep us safe, and provide comfort. Dogs risk their lives every day - protecting our families and homes, assisting law enforcement partners, guiding the blind, aiding the disabled, and ensuring our freedom and safety by detecting bombs and drugs, as well as helping to locate and rescue victims of accidents and disasters.
