Whew… 100° weather, four hours in the heat, and SO many amazing people! ☀️🥵🐶

I just want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the Lightfoot Farm Market today! Whether you stopped by my booth, bought something, shared my posts, told a friend about Barks & Bites, or simply said hello — it truly means more than you know. 🥹💗
I LOVED the venue and sure hope to be able to come back next month !

A HUGE thank you to all of the incredible vendors who braved the heat with us, and especially to the market organizers for putting together such a wonderful event and giving small businesses like mine a place to be seen and supported. 🛍️🐾

And finally… my husband deserves a BIG shoutout. ❤️ He helped with ALL the behind-the-scenes work — hauling, setting up, tearing down, keeping me going, and doing whatever needed to be done. I could not have pulled today off without him. 🥰

If you’re new around here, you might know Barks & Bites Bakery… but you probably don’t know much about the person behind all these treats!

So, hi! 👋🏻 I’m Darcey Taylor, the crazy dog mom, baker, decorator, packer, delivery driver, social media manager, and all-around one-woman operation behind Barks & Bites. 😂

Everything you see here is made by me in my kitchen, one batch at a time. I get ridiculously excited about new flavors, cute designs, and finding ways to make your pups feel just as spoiled as mine are.

So if you’ve been following along but we’ve never actually met — now you know your dealer. 😂

I started this side business because I adore dogs ! It’s pretty obvious

But I also love pretty much every animal ( except for snakes. Sorry 😬)

We also have a turtle , in addition to our four dogs , and a hedgie.

She’s nearly four and recently developed a mouth tumor. As much as it guts me , we’ve made the very difficult decision to have her put to sleep today because she just isn’t doing well.

Hug your animals , even if they’re spiky ! The day will come when they aren’t around anymore 🥺😞🦔

Today, I want to give a little shoutout to a new customer for sending me these pics of her pups enjoying their birthday treats !🎂🎉😍🐶

I was excited to make her one of my full size cakes and a smaller cupcake in my favorite flavor , pumpkin!🎃😁

Added a little razzle dazzle with some dog-safe sprinkles with all natural coloring !

My absolute favorite part is seeing the doggies eating their goodies !! It makes me super happy !!

Thank you Madison Joyner for sharing these with me ! I hope I make more for you in the future !!
