It’s apple season and in that there are so many great things to do with apples. Some call for just the apple itself, no peel. If you find yourself with a bunch of peels don’t be so quick to toss them.
This idea is remarkably easy. Just take your peels and coat them with cinnamon and sugar. Place on a baking sheet and bake. Remember to keep space in between so they will crisp. If too crowded they will steam.
Slow baking for an hour will help get the moisture out of the apple peel, especially if you have some with more apple attached. Then pop up the temp to crisp them up. A combination of around 225 and 400 will do it. Once you kick up the temperature watch close, apples will go from crisp to burnt in a flash.
