This birthday party was so cute! I was pleased ti be part of the festivities with this and cake. Cake made to look like a getting her hair done. Tied in perfectly with the theme of a sensational salon. Having a providing expert instruction to the birthday girl and her friends on hair mannequins really made the party exceptional! I do so love a theme!

Here is how an Akakery tasting goes. You get enough cake, icing and fillings to serve several people, so there will be enough for you and your decision makers. Choose between 4 and 6 flavors to try. It's all served in a deconstructed way so that you can mix and match, and understand that some cakes are more suitable for stacking than others. Some cakes are more dense than others and this is best noticed before cakes are iced and are on display. Here is my latest tasting offering:
Bailey's Irish Cream
Black Forest cake, with cherry filling and chocolate truffle icing
Butterscotch Rum cake, with Butterscotch Rum icing or drizzle
Decadent chocolate
Pink Champagne
Strawberry Lemonade with fresh squeezed lemon curd and a cheesecake layer.

Our STEAM group celebrates birthdays once a month. This month, the cake included Halloween!
The spiderweb made from marshmallows, the spider and pumpkins were formed from fondant and the cake, vanilla flavored, but stacked to resemble candy corn. Not too scary, but definitely seasonal.
